Our story began in 2011 when a group of office workers at a major logistics company in Chicago had a lunch problem. Nearby options were limited, and the team was spending too much time and money traveling to their favorite restaurants. Fooda pioneered the concept of rotating popup restaurants inside offices. Today, we operate in 45 cities with over 100 million meals served and continue to grow rapidly.
Powered by technology and a network of 1500+ restaurants, we feed hungry people at work through a platform of unique food programs located within companies, office buildings, hospitals, schools, distribution centers, and more. What We Are Looking For:
Fooda is looking for a curious and ambitious Senior Content Marketing Strategist to help define how our story is told strategically and to write a large share of it. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing, this is a senior individual contributor role for a highly experienced B2B writer who knows how to turn strategy into execution. You’ll own major content initiatives end to end, shape our editorial direction, and produce high-quality writing that connects the emotional power of food with the practical needs of enterprise business. If you want to think, write, edit, and ship, this role is for you. This role is for someone who is deeply motivated, intellectually curious, and delivers without waiting for instruction. 

What You Will Be Doing:

SEO Writing & Content Strategy

  • Write high-performing  SEO content designed to drive search traffic, inform LLMs, and establish Fooda as a thought leader.

  • Shape and execute Fooda’s content strategy in partnership with marketing leadership, translating business priorities into clear editorial plans.

  • Own execution of the content calendar, from ideation through publishing.

  • Use keyword research, performance data, and search trends to refine topics, formats, and optimization.

Storytelling & Authenticity

  • Write in-depth customer case studies that show Fooda’s real-world impact across clients and industries.

  • Develop long-form assets such as white papers and guides that resonate with senior decision-makers.

  • Carry forward Fooda’s authentic, restaurant-driven voice across all content.

  • Turn complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives that feel human and not too corporate.

Multi-Channel Writing & Distribution

  • Write and test email campaigns that drive measurable engagement.

  • Own our social media calendar 
  • Contribute content for social and community-driven platforms, including LinkedIn and Reddit, adapting tone by channel.

  • Support distribution and repurposing to extend the life and reach of core content.

Execution & Freelance Support

  • Manage freelance writers as needed, including briefing, editing, and feedback.

  • Maintain high editorial standards across all content, regardless of who writes it.

  • Use AI thoughtfully to improve efficiency while protecting originality, voice, and quality.

  • Balance speed, quality, and strategic intent in everything you ship.
     

What You Should Already Have:

  • A deep belief in the craft of writing and editing, even in an AI-driven world.

  • 7–10 years of experience in content marketing, editorial, or B2B writing roles.

  • Proven ability to write and edit long-form content (2,000+ words) with strong samples.

  • Demonstrated success with SEO-driven content that grows organic traffic over time.

  • Experience shaping content strategy, not just executing against one.

  • Strong editorial judgment and ability to adapt voice across blogs, white papers, email, video, LinkedIn, and Reddit.

  • Analytical mindset, comfortable using data to guide decisions and measure success.

Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. No recruiters please.
The salary range for this role is $80,000-$105,000. The salary is dependent on a number of factors including but not limited to: work experience, training, location and skills.
