The Senior Continuous Improvement Analyst drives enterprise-wide operational improvement initiatives by analyzing workflows, leveraging data and performance metrics, and leading structured problem-solving efforts across functions. This role applies Lean and Six Sigma methodologies along with strong analytical and facilitation skills to define complex operational problems, quantify opportunities, and lead cross-functional improvement initiatives that deliver measurable business impact.
Working closely with operations, technology, and data teams, the Senior Continuous Improvement Analyst ensures improvement initiatives are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with broader digital and AI-enabled transformation efforts across the enterprise. This role also establishes measurement frameworks, develops executive-level insights, and influences leaders to embed continuous improvement practices into day-to-day operations.
ResponsibilitiesLead enterprise and cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency, throughput, quality, and resource utilization
Partner with business and operations leaders to define complex problem statements, scope initiatives, establish success metrics, and develop project charters for strategic improvement efforts
Collect, structure, and analyze operational data to identify trends, quantify improvement opportunities, and prioritize initiatives using fact-based decision methods
Lead large-scale Continuous Improvement initiatives from problem definition through implementation and control phases, ensuring stakeholder alignment and measurable outcomes
Facilitate structured problem-solving sessions (Kaizen events, root cause workshops, value stream analysis) to address operational bottlenecks and process inefficiencies
Use advanced analytics and statistical methods to identify root causes, validate solutions, and guide operational decision-making
Partner with business and operations leaders to prioritize and implement improvements across multiple locations, functions, or operational environments
Design and implement measurement systems and performance dashboards to track key performance indicators and improvement outcomes
Collaborate with business intelligence and data teams to source, analyze, and translate operational data into actionable insights for leadership
Develop executive-ready presentations and recommendations that communicate improvement opportunities, outcomes, and operational insights
Track improvement initiatives and ensure progress against defined objectives, milestones, financial impacts, and operational performance targets
Apply project management fundamentals to drive structured execution of improvement initiatives including scope, timelines, risks, and benefit realization
Promote and embed continuous improvement capabilities by coaching teams and leaders on Lean problem-solving methods and operational best practices
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or a related field
5+ years of experience leading operational improvement, analytics, operations strategy, or process optimization initiatives
Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured continuous improvement methodologies in complex operational environments
Additional knowledge and skills:
- Experience working in aviation, logistics, transportation, manufacturing, or other operationally intensive environments preferred
- Experience leveraging operational data and performance metrics to drive measurable improvement initiatives
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); Visio or other process mapping tools preferred
- Strong analytical thinking, data interpretation, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving skills
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills across cross-functional and matrixed organizations
- Experience managing projects using structured project management principles (scope, schedule, risk, benefit tracking)
- Ability to influence leaders and operational teams to drive adoption of process improvements
- Experience with statistical analysis and continuous improvement methods (DMAIC, control charts, hypothesis testing)
- Ability to align improvement initiatives to business strategy, operational performance metrics, and customer outcomes
- Familiarity with change leadership frameworks (e.g., ADKAR, Kotter) and ability to build sustainment and adoption plans
