Position Summary: The Senior Data Architect leads the design and evolution of our enterprise data architecture. This strategic role is accountable for defining scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms across Azure, Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, and Microsoft Power BI, and for aligning data strategy with broader business goals. The Senior Data Architect partners with executives, business leaders, and technology teams to establish standards, mature data governance, and guide enterprise-scale data modernization and analytics initiatives.
Essential Tasks:
- Define and lead enterprise data architecture strategy across Azure data platforms, Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, analytics, and integration services
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performance data models, pipelines, and platform architectures aligned to business and technical requirements
- Establish architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices for data quality, lineage, security, and lifecycle management
- Lead the design and modernization of Azure-based and hybrid data ecosystems
- Define reference architectures for Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, and Power BI-enabled analytics environments
- Translate strategic business goals into multi-year architecture roadmaps in partnership with business and technology leaders
- Oversee solution design reviews, architecture documentation, and implementation guidance for critical data initiative.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers, architects, and business intelligence professionals

Experience and Education:
- 15+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data management
- Deep expertise in enterprise data modeling, Snowflake architecture, and large-scale Azure data platform design
- Strong knowledge of Azure cloud data architectures, Azure Data Lake, and modern integration patterns
- Demonstrated experience defining governance, metadata, master data, and data quality frameworks
- Advanced SQL, database design, and performance optimization skills
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI and aligning architecture to reporting and decision support needs
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and risk considerations across Azure and Snowflake enterprise environments
- Knowledge of data governance tools, architecture frameworks, and industry best practices, preferred
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and shape long-term enterprise data and analytics strategy, preferred
Systems:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Azure – Experience leading Azure cloud transformation or enterprise data modernization initiatives; Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and related modern data technologies, preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Repeated use of sight to read documents and computer screens
- Repeated use of hearing and speech to communicate on telephone and in person
- Repetitive hand movements, such as keyboarding, writing, 10-key
- Walking, bending, sitting, reaching, and stretching in all directions
