Spreetail is hiring a Senior Database Administrator & Data Architect. As our Senior Database Administrator & Data Architect, you’ll be the technical owner for Spreetail’s database infrastructure — leading operations, performance optimization, modernization strategy, and cross-functional enablement of high-value data use cases.

How you will achieve success:

  • Manage and optimize SQL Server, Postgres, and MongoDB databases across AWS.
  • Ensure availability, replication, backup, and security for production systems. 
  • Design for scalability, cost efficiency, and observability. 
  • Define modernization strategy (migration, architecture upgrades). 
  • Collaborate across teams to align database design with analytics goals and mentor engineers on database performance and governance best practices.

What experiences will help you in this role:

  • 8–12+ years of DBA experience with SQL Server/Postgres expertise. 
  • Deep knowledge of AWS RDS, Aurora, monitoring tools (Datadog, CloudWatch). 
  • Skilled in tuning, indexing, replication, partitioning, automation (Python/PowerShell). 
  • Familiar with modern data stacks (Snowflake, dbt, Dagster).
  • Excellent communicator who can translate complex technical topics into actionable guidance for engineers, analysts, and leadership.
