The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator to join our team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. Our ideal candidate will have experience with Momentum Financials and federal financial systems.
Responsibilities

  • Provide database storage management to maintain and track database storage for reporting and trend analysis

  • Retain database backups for organizationally defined periods

  • Assist in developing off-site or off-Azure database backup strategies

  • Manage database communication software configuration, installation, and maintenance

  • Open, track, and manage database problems and incidents to resolution

  • Execute database creation, configuration, and refresh

  • Monitor databases including review of audit logs, alert logs, trace files, etc.

  • Provide guidance and support for database performance tuning, index generation/maintenance, and non-standard backups

  • Implement and administer database management tools across all instances

  • Define and execute database performance tuning scripts

  • Administer and monitor redundant database server implementations and failover services

  • Address vulnerabilities and apply patches/remediation steps

  • Lead a team of database administrators

Qualifications:
Required:

  • US citizen with the ability to pass a Tier 2 MBI background investigation upon hire

  • 10+ years of experience with Oracle databases and RMAN backups

  • Extensive experience supporting financial management systems for large federal agencies

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Flexibility to put in hours needed to meet tight deadlines

Desired:

  • Knowledge of Momentum Financials

  • Experience working in a government environment

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • Secret security clearance

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$98,500-$206,800
