Job Description SummaryConsulting Services within GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Deployment Engineer to join the PlanOS DevOps team and support customer deployment of our integrated systems planning software. This role is responsible for working directly with customers to install, configure, validate, and troubleshoot the product in customer environments.
As part of the PlanOS DevOps team, this person will play a key role in customer implementations, helping ensure deployments are successful and operational issues are resolved efficiently. The role also partners closely with development and DevOps teammates to improve installation processes, deployment tooling, environment standards, and overall product operability.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support installation, configuration, and validation of the product in customer environments

  • Work directly with customer technical teams to prepare for deployment, execute installation activities, and confirm successful setup

  • Support deployments in AWS, Azure, or on-premises environments

  • Troubleshoot installation, configuration, infrastructure, networking, and access-related issues during implementation and early operational use

  • Coordinate with development and DevOps teams to investigate and resolve product, platform, and deployment issues

  • Serve as a technical point of contact for deployment-related activities during customer implementations

  • Support upgrades, patches, and environment changes for deployed systems

  • Document installation steps, prerequisites, troubleshooting procedures, and known issues

  • Identify recurring deployment challenges and work with DevOps and development teams to improve automation, tooling, documentation, and installation reliability

  • Contribute to standard deployment practices and a better overall customer experience

Required:

  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps, delivery engineering, deployment engineering, implementation engineering, or similar technical roles

  • Hands-on experience deploying and supporting Kubernetes-based applications

  • Experience with software deployment in AWS and/or Azure, and/or familiarity with on-premise infrastructure

  • Experience troubleshooting deployment, infrastructure, and environment configuration issues

  • Working knowledge of Linux systems, networking, and access/security fundamentals

Preferred:

  • Ability to work effectively with customer technical teams and internal engineering teams

  • Strong communication, coordination, and technical documentation skills

  • Experience with Helm, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, scripting, or other deployment automation tools

  • Experience in customer-facing enterprise software deployment or implementation roles

  • Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and operational diagnostics in Kubernetes environments

  • Exposure to secrets management, certificates, identity/access controls, and other enterprise deployment security practices

  • Experience improving deployment processes based on customer implementation feedback

  • Background in energy, utilities, or industrial software environments is a plus

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $94,900.00 and $158,100.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
