About this opportunity

We invite a Cloud Data Platform Engineer to join our team and help deploy, monitor, and optimize the cloud platforms that power our data science and ML workloads. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and data engineers to ensure analytics systems run securely, efficiently, and at scale. You’ll use your expertise to define and implement reusable cloud and data platform solutions that streamline operations across the organization.

🧩 Key responsibilities and your contribution

In this role, you'll manage and support the cloud and data platform systems that enable our data pipelines and ML workloads.

  • Manage and optimize cloud environments and compute clusters for data and ML workloads
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for model deployment, IaC, and automated testing
  • Develop monitoring, alerting, and logging systems for cloud and ML infrastructure
  • Streamline data ingestion, transformation, and model execution workflows with automation
  • Build self-service tools for provisioning reproducible research and development environments
  • Collaborate with data engineering to maintain data pipeline and cloud system integrations
  • Support application networking capabilities for data platforms
  • Implement security and compliance controls for data science platforms
  • Support secure handling of sensitive financial data; conduct risk assessments and remediation
  • Provide technical guidance on cloud architecture, performance, and production readiness

✅ Is that you?

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field
  • 5+ years in cloud operations, DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering
  • Strong proficiency with a major cloud platform, preferably AWS
  • Experience managing and optimizing cloud environments for data-intensive or ML workloads
  • Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
  • Scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
  • Deep understanding of authentication, authorization, and secrets management (IAM, OIDC, OAuth2, RBAC, PKI, privileged access management, JIT access)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD)
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across data, ML, and engineering teams
  • Proactive, customer-focused mindset to improve internal workflows and automation
  • Upper-Intermediate+ English level

✅ Nice to have

  • Financial services or other regulated industry experience
  • Familiarity with ML/AI platforms (Databricks, SageMaker, MLflow, Airflow)
  • Hands-on experience with AI engineering and LLMOps tools
  • Understanding of networking, VPC architectures, and cloud security best practices
  • Familiarity with distributed compute frameworks (Spark, Ray, Dask)
