About the Role
The Senior Digital Enterprise Architect provides strategic and operational leadership within Information and Digital Services (IDS), driving the development of enterprise architecture, technology roadmaps, and governance frameworks that support Flinders University's digital transformation objectives. As the University continues to strengthen its enterprise architecture capability, this role will play a key part in shaping the future digital and technology landscape, enabling the strategic digital roadmap and ensuring alignment between business priorities and technology investments.
Key Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development, implementation, and governance of enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and digital roadmaps.

  • Providing expert advice and leadership to stakeholders, projects, architects, and vendors to ensure technology solutions align with strategic objectives.

  • Driving innovation by identifying emerging technologies, optimising existing investments, and developing business cases for future initiatives.

  • Overseeing architecture governance, risk management, vendor relationships, and agile delivery practices to support sustainable digital outcomes.

About You
You are a strategic technology leader with extensive enterprise architecture expertise and a proven ability to influence stakeholders, shape digital strategy, and deliver business-focused technology outcomes. You combine strong technical knowledge with exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent extensive industry experience.

  • Extensive experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman, and applying them in complex organisational environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic planning, manage stakeholder relationships, and influence outcomes across diverse teams and business units.

  • Strong knowledge of agile delivery practices, business strategy development, and continuous improvement, with a commitment to operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will also hold appropriate tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business Administration, or relevant technical area, and / or equivalent relevant experience in an IT environment.

Information and Digital Services 
Information and Digital Services (IDS) are a pivotal resource of the University, providing information and digital technology services and support to the Flinders University staff and student community. The IDS team apply technical expertise to support university projects and provide core services such as the IDS Service Desk, Audio visual, simulation and event services, Information security and identity access management services and more.

Appointment to this role is conditional on the completion of required pre-employment checks and declarations, each of which must be satisfactory to the University. This includes a current completed Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and Gender Based Violence Declaration which is satisfactory to the University.     • Advanced interpersonal influence and demonstrated ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with staff and customers across a diverse organisation particularly during the design, management and implementation of customer solutions.

    • Advanced experience in contemporary enterprise architecture frameworks and their application to complex business environments.
