Pay Range for this position is: $180,000-$225,000 plus annual bonus, depending on experience and geographical location. 

 


POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Channel Sales Manager drives budgeted volume and net sales growth for Midwest grocery customers by leading customer strategy execution, managing a national broker team, motivating strong in-store performance, and overseeing grocery-channel direct reports. The position will optimize trade spend to ensure efficient, ROI-focused investments, while also leading westward expansion by securing new distribution in void accounts for priority brands. The role oversees volume forecasting in partnership with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate demand plans and presents quarterly business results, strategic initiatives, and tactical plans to Branded Division leadership to ensure alignment and visibility.

 


Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Drive budget volume and net sales growth for assigned Midwest grocery customers
  • Manage, motivate, and inspire execution from our National Broker
  • Manage direct report(s) in the grocery channel
  • Accountable for trade spend management using trade tools such as Trade Planner and RGM TPO
  • Drive westward grocery expansion/new distribution in void accounts for power brand
  • Manage volume forecasting process for assigned territory/customers and coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure accurate demand planning
  • Present quarterly customer results, strategies, and tactics to Branded Division leadership

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • 5+ Years record of success growing CPG Sales (beverage a plus) in Midwestern Grocery customers
    • Both Wholesaler UNFI/AWG/C&S as well as direct to grocery
  • Ability to effectively interact, engage, and communicate with internal and external customers
  • Ability to complete Top to Top level presentations individually
  • Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation/influencing skills
  • Must have proven business management and broker management experience
  • Ability to manage people/teams
  • Prior experience with Trade Planning and RGM tools
  • Experience forecasting/demand planning
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting; driving a motor vehicle and occasionally working in the field.

 

FREQUENT: sitting, upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to include extended periods of keyboard and mouse use, side-to-side turning of neck, walking, standing, bending and stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting at waist, moderate wrist torque to twist equipment knobs and dials.

 

OCCASIONAL: squatting, kneeling, reach above and at shoulder height, moderate grasp to manipulate reference books and manuals; lifting objects weighing 20 – 35 lbs. from below waist to above shoulders and transporting distances up to 50 feet.

 

VISION: Ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction.

 

HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
