Job Description:

Senior Director – Digital Finance Transformation

At Mars, we are advancing a Digital Core transformation to modernize global back-office operations through a centralized Finance Center of Excellence (COE). This effort is redefining how we operate—standardizing processes, evolving operating models, and delivering a next-generation finance ecosystem powered by SAP S/4HANA and leading-edge technologies. Initiated within Royal Canin, this capability is scaling across Mars Snacking and Pet Nutrition to enable a unified, efficient, and data-driven finance organization for the future.

We are seeking a Senior Director to play a key leadership role within this Finance COE, shaping both the strategy and ongoing evolution of our finance capabilities. You will lead the design, build, and advancement of SAP-enabled finance solutions, partnering with senior leaders to drive standardization, innovation, and performance. Acting as both a strategic advisor and operator, you will guide complex global initiatives while ensuring the sustained success and continuous improvement of finance capabilities across the enterprise.

What are we looking for?

  • Extensive experience leading global finance transformation programs, with a strong focus on SAP and ERP implementations
  • Deep expertise in SAP Finance (FI/CO) and end-to-end finance processes, particularly Record-to-Report (R2R)
  • Proven ability to deliver large-scale transformation initiatives from design through global deployment
  • Senior leadership experience with a track record of influencing executives and managing complex, global stakeholder environments
  • Strong understanding of finance systems and tools across areas such as tax, treasury, and reconciliation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver business-critical outcomes
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Lead the Finance Digital Core COE, setting strategic direction and driving execution across global transformation programs
  • Oversee the design, build, and global deployment of SAP S/4HANA and integrated finance solutions, ensuring alignment with business and finance strategy
  • Govern Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, ensuring standardization, strong controls, and financial integrity across systems
  • Partner with senior finance and business leaders to shape strategy, enable decision-making, and drive performance improvements
  • Drive end-to-end process integration and continuous improvement across finance and related functions
  • Lead cross-functional teams, system integrators, and external partners to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions on time and within scope
  • Anticipate business, regulatory, and operational challenges, ensuring effective governance and successful global deployment

What can you expect from Mars?

  • Work with diverse and talented Associates, all guided by the Five Principles.
  • Join a purpose driven company, where we’re striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.
  • Best-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.
  • An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus.
