In 2025, Valor launched a first-of-its-kind fund to acquire and lease Data Center Compute Infrastructure (“DCCI”) to our portfolio company, xAI. Through a combination of debt and equity raised through the fund, the first DCCI purchase was completed in November, with the first lease executed with xAI at the same time. This position will be responsible for the operational components of running this fund as noted below.

The position will report to the CFO.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Debt Compliance Oversight: Lead all aspects of debt covenant monitoring, compliance reporting, and lender communications for the Valor Compute Infrastructure Fund. Ensure adherence to loan agreements, track key ratios, and mitigate risks through proactive forecasting and scenario analysis.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and delivery of quarterly and annual financial statements of the Fund, investor reports, and fund performance metrics. Collaborate with third party administrator (Citco), internal teams and external auditors to maintain accuracy, timeliness, and GAAP compliance (where needed) for investor and lender reporting.
  • Tax Reporting: Oversee fund-level tax compliance (completed by PwC), including K-1 preparation, partnership returns (Form 1065), and coordination with tax advisors. Ensure compliance with state tax filings and the tax structure of the Fund for offshore investors.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of fund performance, cash flow modeling, distributions, and IRR calculations. Provide strategic insights to senior leadership on fund performance.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement robust controls, automation tools, and reporting dashboards to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with investors, lenders, auditors, tax preparers, and regulators. Prepare board materials and present findings to Valor leadership.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.

 

   QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12-15 years of experience in the finance industry, with at least 5 years of experience with private credit, debt funds, or applicable private equity experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, organized and professional
  • Ability to work well in a team-based setting
