Location Overview

Cboe HQ is located in the historic Old Post Office district, it's a landmark that blends classic architecture with modern amenities. The building features expansive spaces with high ceilings and large windows, offering an abundance of natural light and panoramic views of the city skyline and the Chicago River.

With its prime location in the heart of downtown, the OPO Building provides easy access to major transportation hubs, including Union Station and multiple CTA lines, making it convenient for commuters. The building is home to a variety of amenities, including restaurants, a fitness center, and collaborative workspaces, creating a vibrant and dynamic work environment in one of Chicago's most iconic areas.

Role Overview

This role has responsibility for managing all facets of our Market Data Administration function, including customer/vendor onboarding, licensing, reporting, compliance and billing.  The person will be responsible for managing and setting direction for all processes, technologies and supporting team.   Identification of opportunities for process improvement, automation and leveraging technologies will be essential.  Responsibilities will also include developing audit plans and criteria for audit selection and perform data compliance reviews and audits of data recipient compliance with Cboe data agreements and policies. Sets targets and tracks progress toward annual compliance targets and supporting associated Data Vantage budgets. This position reports to the VP, Head of Market Data.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Execute administrative and operational functions for Cboe’s Market Data Administration, including RMA and CGIF data products
  • Implement DataBP, maintain relationship and develop roadmap for future improvements and features.
  • Generate necessary business intelligence on Cboe market data customers and vendors to support overall product direction, pricing/fees, policies, etc.
  • Manage team members, set performance goals and deliver associated feedback and performance reviews
  • Represent Cboe and be an active participant in market data industry associations, conferences and industry best practice discussions.
  • Oversee and manage data subscriber and distributor onboarding and reporting.
  • Provide necessary support to regulatory filings
  • Provide necessary input and support to AP, AR and GL functions.

The ideal candidate has

  • Expert knowledge of market data principles and policies and a thorough knowledge of the equity and derivative trading industry.
  • Ability to communicate the intricacies of specific Cboe market data policies to regulators, global distributors, banks and trading firms.
  • Ability to analyze complex and unique data usage scenarios in order to apply appropriate licensing and fees for data vendors and subscribers.
  • Demonstrates hands-on experience using artificial intelligence techniques and agents to create efficiencies and develop innovative analysis.
  • Working knowledge with market data administration tools and technologies.
  • 7+ years of experience managing clients and external business relationships.
  • 10+ years of management and people leader experience.
  • 12+ years of financial market data and derivatives industry experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics or related field required, Master's degree preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of DataBP application is preferred.

Salary Ranges (applicable for US locations only)

At Cboe, we are committed to providing a competitive, transparent, and market‑informed total rewards program. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $233,750-$302,500, with actual compensation determined by job‑related factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal alignment, and location.

This role may also be eligible for annual incentive compensation and, where applicable, participation in Cboe's long-term equity programs.

We are in the loop in the Old Post Office building which has been redesigned into luxury office space with the biggest roof tops in Chicago. Our roof top features pickle ball courts, basketball court, walking path and dining lounging areas. We also have ample garage parking and a gym in our building. Our location is only 2 blocks from Union Station and the "L" train. Additionally, there are many dining options nearby.
