Lead GTM strategy and customer engagement for MinIO's enterprise object storage products. Align product, engineering, sales, and marketing; define positioning, pricing, and launches; evangelize the product externally; engage strategic accounts and advisory boards; synthesize market insights to prioritize the roadmap and drive commercial adoption.
The summary above was generated by AI

MinIO is the industry leader in high-performance object storage and the company behind the world’s fastest, most widely deployed object store, powering production infrastructure for more than half of the Fortune 500, including 9 of the 10 largest global automakers and all 10 of the largest U.S. banks. Our enterprise offering, AIStor, is engineered to handle the scale, speed, and pressure of modern AI and analytics, from terabytes to exabytes, all in a single namespace.

We are seeking a Senior Director of Product Management focused heavily on Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy, customer engagement, and cross-functional alignment. At MinIO, our engineering speaks for itself, but we need an elite product leader to act as the vital bridge between our engineering innovations and the market.

You will not be sitting in an ivory tower writing endless PRDs. You will be out in the field engaging with enterprise customers, defining GTM strategies, aligning our roadmap with market realities, and evangelizing the MinIO vision to the world. You will work closely with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to ensure every product release has maximum market impact.

What You Will Do:

Go-To-Market Strategy & Alignment

  • Own the GTM strategy for new products, features, and capabilities, ensuring seamless alignment between Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Develop clear, compelling product positioning, messaging, and value propositions that resonate with developers, architects, and IT decision-makers.
  • Drive pricing and packaging strategies that accelerate adoption while maximizing enterprise value.
  • Orchestrate high-impact product launches in partnership with the marketing team.

Customer Engagement & Market Intelligence

  • Serve as the primary product voice in executive briefings and strategic enterprise accounts.
  • Build and manage Customer Advisory Boards to gather continuous, high-fidelity feedback on market trends, pain points, and product needs.
  • Actively monitor the competitive landscape (legacy storage appliances, public cloud storage, emerging AI data platforms) and translate insights into actionable product strategies.

Communication & Evangelism

  • Act as a visible evangelist for MinIO. Speak at major industry conferences (KubeCon, AWS re:Invent, etc.), host webinars, and engage with the open-source community.
  • Write high-quality, technically accurate content, including blog posts, whitepapers, and architectural guides.
  • Develop and deliver deep-dive product training and enablement materials for the global sales and sales engineering teams.

Product Planning

  • Synthesize inputs from customers, sales, and the market to inform and prioritize the product roadmap.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to ensure we are building what the market needs, when the market needs it, without compromising MinIO’s philosophy of simplicity and performance.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years of Product Management experience in enterprise B2B software, with at least 5 years at a Director level or above.
  • Domain Expertise: Deep technical understanding of data infrastructure, object storage (S3 API), Kubernetes, cloud-native architectures, and AI/ML data pipelines.
  • GTM Mastery: Proven track record of bringing highly technical infrastructure products to market and driving commercial success.
  • Customer-Obsessed: You thrive in front of customers. You can hold your own in a deep technical architecture whiteboard session with a Lead Engineer, and then pivot to a strategic ROI conversation with a CIO.
  • Exceptional Communicator: You are a gifted writer and speaker. You can distill complex distributed systems concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
  • "Doer" Mentality: MinIO has a flat, engineering-driven culture. We value execution over bureaucracy. You must be willing to roll up your sleeves and do the work.

What We Offer:

  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • 401K with 3% Contribution
  • Pre-IPO Stock Options
  • At least 12 Public Holidays
  • Flexible Time Off

Equal Opportunity Policy (EEO)

MinIO is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer. We review applications for employment without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, age, veteran status, genetic information, physical or mental disability, medical condition, marital status, or any other basis prohibited by law.
