What you will do
  • Responsible for solving problems systematically, improve processes and products while adhering to regulatory requirements and project deadlines. 
  • Applies lean manufacturing and six sigma concepts focusing on cost reduction and improving efficiencies of a manufacturing environment.
  • Independently determines and develops approaches to a variety of technical problems of large scope and complexity.
  • Builds productive internal and external working relationships and may periodically provide guidance and train other team members.
  • Provide operational excellence support for operations, ensuring that all activities are completed with all the operational needs and capabilities.
  • Ensure quality of process and product as defined in the appropriate operation and material specifications.
  • Will support to equipment based on right-sized-equipment, lean concepts, analysis of specifications, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with quality engineers to develop testing and inspection process from an lean mindset.
     
What you need
  • 5+ years experience in the industry

  • 2+ years experience managing kaizen events, problem solving, projects or process improvements initiatives, or leadership experience and/or substantial engineering support or project management experience in a team-based environment is required.

  • B.S in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.

  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.

  • Strong knowledge and demonstration on Six Sigma and Lean Enterprise tools to work on improvement, problem solving (DMAIC, PDCA, A3, 8D, etc), CI culture transformation and cost reduction initiatives.

  • Strong knowledge in lean and six sigma concepts and tools

  • Strong knowledge in project management concepts and tools.

  • Fully bilingual (English & Spanish).

Travel Percentage: 10%
