About the Opportunity

At Ting Internet, we build and operate networks that people rely on every day. As a Senior Engineer II, Network Operations, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our telecommunications network systems and services.

In this role, you’ll take on complex operational challenges, guide quality and reliability efforts, and provide technical leadership across network operations. You’ll work across local and remote environments, influence improvements across multiple systems, and help raise the bar for how we operate and maintain our network.

This is a remote role open to applicants based in Canada or USA. 

What You’ll Do

  • Provide advanced-level monitoring, operation, and support of network systems
  • Guide quality assurance activities and infrastructure testing to ensure network stability and performance
  • Lead investigations into network issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning
  • Maintain and evolve recommendations for improvements to network systems, tools, and operational processes
  • Influence multiple areas of a product or system through technical leadership and cross-team collaboration
  • Design and lead network upgrade projects
  • Advise and support junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices

What You Bring

  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of designing, developing, and maintaining complex network operating systems
    Proven ability to build and maintain senior internal and external relationships, often requiring influence and persuasion
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across teams to resolve moderately complex, loosely scoped problems
  • Experience mentoring or advising junior peers and contributing to team growth
    Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy and accountability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 6–8 years of experience in network operations engineering or a related role

The base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $135,000 USD for US residents OR $110,000 - $120,000 CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
