The Role 

As the Senior Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for improving collaboration and efficiency on various projects in the Care Delivery engineering group throughout the development lifecycle and help support and lead the engineers to deliver quality software to our customers. The ideal candidate will be able to develop a good understanding of our products to help determine effort and resources needed to take on new initiatives while maintaining high quality.

Responsibilities  
  • Have a good grasp of the tech stacks in use
  • Work with the product team and other stakeholders to take requirements and help shape them with technical details
  • Mentor and guide direct reports
  • Setup regular touch points with direct reports and set proper expectations that meet both company and personal goals
  • Maintain and add good engineering practices while eliminating unnecessary ones
  • Assess and address technical issues
  • Help identify gaps in resourcing
Desired Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience building and delivering quality products and mentoring other engineers on the team
  • B.S. in Computer Science, or a related technical field
  • Technical background:
    • Functional understanding and experience with MVC concepts and experience delivering features in a framework such as Rails or Django
    • Experience writing clean, readable and testable code
    • Experience with delivering ML/AI projects 
    • Good understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL etc…)
    • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (preferably Git)
    • Familiarity with other technologies such as caching, Redis 
    • Familiarity with CI/CD processes
    • Working knowledge of front-end technologies and frameworks
  • Soft skills:
    • Strong communication and technical writing skills
    • Well organized and disciplined, excellent documentation skills
    • Curious about new technologies
    • Great listener
    • Technical by nature, ability to take big ideas and work with a team to break them down into smaller, actionable steps

Base Compensation Range

$224,000 - $230,000 annually

Base salary is one component of total compensation. Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus or commission. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.

The above represents the expected base compensation range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider many factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
