West Monroe Partners is currently seeking a Sr. Microsoft Engineer to oversee, manage, and support West Monroe Partners Performance Services clients. West Monroe Partners has both local and remote clients and resources that need operations support and project-based services for their local and hosted infrastructure. The Exchange Engineer will provide escalated support and operational maintenance to server environments, including but not limited to Windows Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, and Exchange. Also, the Exchange Engineer will work on project-based initiatives for clients, including upgrades to existing infrastructure and deployment of new technology.
Qualifications:
Demonstrate an understanding of technology as it pertains to infrastructure and applications and be able to respond to client questions, provide operational maintenance, perform upgrades and troubleshoot issues. Individuals must be able to discuss issues with the managed services clients and be able to effectively apply technology knowledge to a client situation. Individuals will be contributing to client satisfaction by providing clients with timely and responsive services and work products.
Specific skills include, but are not limited to, the ability to:
- Thoroughly and accurately understand issues and analyze the problem in a systematic fashion.
- Analyze each client's specific request and determine the underlying problem and recommend proper solution.
- Serve as the L3 escalation point for the West Monroe Partners Network Operations Center (NOC) and Tier 2 support engineers for questions and complex issue resolution
- Work with client management and provide written and oral status updates; facilitate and lead meetings in both a project and escalated incident setting
- Strong communication skills to be able to work with clients and assist non-technical users with troubleshooting remotely.
- Expertise and experience in Windows based Collaboration Services. Technologies include Microsoft Lync, Office Communications Server, Exchange (2003, 2007, 2010), IIS, Windows Server, Active Directory, Certificate Services, Federation Services
- Experience with Microsoft Lync Voice technologies including integration with gateway devices (Audiocodes, NET, etc.) is preferred
- Experience designing and deploying enterprise-level Windows environments
- Strong background in server management tools including backup, anti-virus, and hosted and cloud-based solutions.
- Experience with support and administration of environments with high-availability and disaster recovery technologies
- Preference for background and knowledge in operating and maintain Windows servers on a virtualized environment (VMWare).
- Act as a technical lead for infrastructure deployments
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent required
- 4+ years of similar work experience in a client facing role
- Experience managing multiple technology projects simultaneously
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Microsoft (MCP, MCSA) certifications preferred
