TechOp Solutions is seeking a remote Senior FOIA Analyst provides advanced Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) processing support to our government client. This role performs cradle-to-grave processing of FOIA requests, including analysis, records coordination, redaction, exemption application, and response preparation, while ensuring compliance with FOIA statute, the Privacy Act, Department of Justice (DOJ) 

  • Perform end-to-end processing of FOIA requests from intake through final response preparation. 
  • Analyze requests to determine scope, complexity, and routing requirements. 
  • Coordinate with program offices to identify and obtain responsive records. 
  • Identify operational risks,, and compliance issues and coordinate corrective actions with Government stakeholders. 
  • Mentors Junior Analyst 
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of successful FOIA request processing within the last 48 months. 
  • In-depth understanding of DOJ FOIA reporting standards and compliant submission processes. 
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Advanced proficiency in interpreting and applying FOIA exemptions consistent with Department of Justice guidance and governing FOIA legislation. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interface with leadership.
