About the team & opportunity

Calendly is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to join our dynamic Finance team. This is a highly visible role and a key finance partner to our R&D and G&A organizations (including Finance, Legal, IT, and Security). Reporting to the Senior Manager, FP&A, you will deliver data-driven analysis and decision support that help leaders allocate resources effectively, strengthen forecast reliability, and operate with greater financial discipline.  

A day in the life of a Senior FP&A Analyst at Calendly

As a Senior FP&A Analyst at Calendly, you spend your day partnering closely with R&D and G&A leaders to align financial strategy with business priorities. You don’t just respond to business needs , you anticipate them,  bringing analytical rigor and a forward-looking perspective. By modeling scenarios and identifying potential risks and opportunities early, you support thoughtful decision-making across headcount, infrastructure, tools, and operating spend.

In this role, you build and refine financial models, enhance reporting, and provide clear visibility into performance trends. From supporting monthly close to updating forecasts and preparing executive-ready analyses, your work ensures decision-makers have the clarity needed to make informed decisions as the business evolves.
On a typical day, you will:

  • Proactively partner with R&D and G&A leaders to guide strategic planning and forecasting, bringing thoughtful perspective and constructive challenge when needed
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate headcount investments and other operating expenses
  • Assist with ad-hoc analyses to inform investment decisions and long-term planning
  • Support the monthly and quarterly close by partnering with Accounting on accruals  and expense review, conducting variance analysis, and delivering executive-ready reporting with clear risk and opportunity insights
  • Improve forecast accuracy and enhance reporting processes to increase visibility and accountability across teams
  • Drive process and system improvements that enhance scalability, efficiency, and financial insights as the company grows 
What do we need from you?
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related fields with 4+ years relevant work experience.
  • Experience supporting R&D organizations within SaaS environments, with a strong understanding of Engineering and Product cost drivers
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to build financial models and translate outputs into actionable business insights
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment, managing multiple priorities with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning and NetSuite; proficiency in Google Workspace required. Experience with data visualization tools is a plus
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time
Tier 1 Salary Hiring Range
$162,282$190,920 USD
Tier 2 Salary Hiring Range
$148,758.50$175,010 USD
Tier 3 Salary Hiring Range
$135,235$159,100 USD

The ranges listed above are the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.

Calendly takes a number of factors into consideration when determining an employee’s starting salary, including relevant experience, relevant skills sets, interview performance, location/metropolitan area, and internal pay equity.

Base salary is just one component of Calendly’s total rewards package. All full-time (30 hours/week) employees are also eligible for our Top Performer Bonus program (or Sales incentive), equity awards, and competitive benefits.

Calendly uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location, or the onsite building location if hybrid, to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current geographic zones are as follows:

  • Tier 1: San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, New York City, NY
  • Tier 2: Chicago, IL, Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Boston, MA, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, PA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Miami, FL, and all other cities in CA.
  • Tier 3: All other locations not in Tier 1 or Tier 2
