Chaos Labs builds infrastructure for organizations adopting AI at scale. Our products help organizations understand their AI work, capture the knowledge it generates, and turn everyday AI activity into intelligence they own.
Reporting directly to the Tech Lead, you'll play a key role in building AI-native products used by organizations adopting AI at scale. You'll own features end-to-end, influence technical decisions, and help shape the next generation of enterprise AI.
Responsibilities
- Build responsive frontend applications exclusively with React and TypeScript.
- Develop scalable backend services and APIs using Python and Rust.
- Integrate applications with AWS or GCP infrastructure.
- Design and maintain databases, integrations, automated tests, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Optionally develop AI features involving LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and agents.
- Monitor and improve application reliability, performance, security, and cost.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong Python and JavaScript/TypeScript skills.
- Production experience with React.
- Backend API and distributed-systems experience.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Rust, Go, or another statically typed language is a plus.
- Familiarity with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, AI agents, and prompt evaluation is a plus.
- Strong communication, product thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Flexibility to work remotely. Ability to travel up to 30% of the year to collaborate in person with the team
- Proficiency in [specific tools/languages relevant to the role].
- Familiarity with profiling tools and performance optimization techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
