Job Overview:
Wargaming USA is seeking a Senior Game Designer to help shape immersive and engaging gameplay experiences that surprise and delight our players for our next title using Unreal Engine. In this role, you will take ownership of game design, crafting compelling player experiences that align with the game’s vision.

What will you do?

  • Own the full lifecycle of game design—from concept to implementation, iteration, and final polish.
  • Design and implement engaging gameplay systems, objectives, and sequences using Unreal Engine, with a strong focus on player engagement and game balance.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (Creative Director, Design Leads, Environment Art, Narrative, and other disciplines) to ensure all gameplay elements align with the game’s core vision.
  • Prototype and iterate on gameplay features, maintaining a player-centric approach.
  • Create and maintain detailed design documentation, ensuring clarity for cross-functional teams.
  • Lead discussions on gameplay design, advocating for best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Mentor junior designers, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence.
  • Proactively identify challenges and propose creative and technical solutions to improve workflows and gameplay experience.

What are we looking for?

  • 2–5 years of experience as a senior designer in the video game industry.
  • Proficiency with Unreal Engine 4/5, including experience with Blueprints.
  • Demonstrated experience in game design, player-driven objectives, and gameplay systems.
  • Proven track record of designing and shipping at least two titles in a designer role.
  •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
  •  Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate design ideas effectively.
  •  Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and adapt to evolving project needs.
  •  proficiency in standard industry tools: Jira, Confluence, Miro, photoshop…
  •  A strong portfolio or similar showcasing your best work in game design.

What additional skills will help you stand out?

  • Experience working in a live-service or multiplayer environment.
  • Knowledge of game balancing, pacing, and AI behavior.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages or visual scripting tools beyond Blueprints.
  • Proficiency in level layout design and prototyping.

Work mode

Hybrid (2-3 days of work from the office)
