The Senior Graphic Designer will lead web design initiatives, establish design systems, collaborate across teams, and translate brand identity into impactful digital experiences.
At BioRender, we’re on a mission to accelerate the world’s ability to learn, discover, and communicate science — transforming how knowledge is shared and making science open, collaborative, and easily understandable by all.
We’re shaping the future of science communication and are looking for talented individuals to help bring this vision to life! 🚀
About the Role
As a Senior Graphic Designer (Web-Focused) at BioRender, you’ll play a key role in shaping and scaling our digital brand experience. You’ll lead the design and evolution of our web presence — from high-impact landing pages to foundational systems like web guidelines and component libraries.
This is a contract-to-hire role, offering the opportunity to make an immediate impact while building toward a long-term position on our team.
This is a highly hands-on role with significant ownership. You’ll work at the intersection of brand, web, and marketing — designing intuitive, visually compelling experiences while helping establish the systems and standards that don’t yet exist. You’ll collaborate closely with Marketing, Growth, and Product teams to bring consistency and scalability to our design efforts.
This role is ideal for a designer who is equally comfortable crafting beautiful web experiences in Figma and producing polished marketing collateral in Adobe Creative Suite — and who is excited about leveraging emerging tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to move faster and smarter.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and evolve BioRender’s web design experience, including landing pages, campaign pages, and core site improvements.
- Establish and maintain web design guidelines, systems, and component libraries in Figma to drive consistency and scalability.
- Partner with Marketing and Growth teams to design high-converting web experiences that support campaigns, product launches, and experimentation.
- Translate brand into engaging digital experiences, ensuring a cohesive visual identity across all web touchpoints.
- Design marketing collateral and brand assets across channels (e.g., presentations, one-pagers, event materials).
- Create print-ready assets using Adobe Creative Suite when needed, ensuring high-quality production standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to bring designs to life and iterate quickly.
- Explore and incorporate AI-assisted design and coding tools to improve workflows and output quality.
- Help define and raise the bar for design quality across the organization.
What You Bring to the Table
- 5–6 years of experience in graphic design, with a strong focus on web design — ideally in a SaaS or tech environment.
- Strong proficiency in Figma (primary tool), including experience building and maintaining design systems or component libraries.
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), particularly for print and marketing materials.
- A strong portfolio showcasing web-first design work, including landing pages, marketing sites, or product-related web experiences.
- Experience working in environments where systems and processes are not yet fully established — you’re comfortable building from scratch.
- Solid understanding of web best practices, including responsive design, usability, and conversion principles.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills — you can work effectively across teams and incorporate feedback.
- A growth mindset — you’re curious, adaptable, and excited to help scale design in a growing company.
