Overview

Who You Are

We are partnering with illumend to look for a strategic, hands-on marketing leader to drive demand generation and accelerate business growth. In this role, you'll lead a small, agile marketing team while staying actively involved in execution—leveraging AI, data, and experimentation to build pipeline and optimize performance. You'll oversee both marketing and product marketing, partnering closely with Sales, RevOps, and executive leadership to shape go-to-market strategy and deliver measurable results.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do


  • Own demand generation strategy to drive qualified pipeline and customer acquisition.
  • Lead marketing and product marketing initiatives across digital channels. 
  • Leverage AI to improve marketing execution, decision-making, and operational efficiency.
  • Use data and performance insights to inform strategy and optimize results.
  • Test, measure, and scale high-impact marketing initiatives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, RevOps, Product, and executive leadership.
  • Lead and support a team through strategic initiatives, execution, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop creative, customer-centric messaging that makes complex AI products approachable and compelling.
Required Skills

What You Will Need to be Successful

  • 6-8 years of experience in a high-growth SaaS, AI, or technology company.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
  • Proven success leading demand generation and consistently driving measurable pipeline growth.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing strategy and performance marketing. 
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to increase marketing productivity, creativity, and operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using marketing data to guide strategic decisions.
  • Experience leading small, cross-functional marketing teams and external agency or contractor relationships.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced startup or scaling environments where priorities evolve quickly.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Bonus Points
  • Experience marketing AI or emerging technology products.
  • B2C marketing experience or a consumer-first approach to storytelling.
  • Marketing operations experience, including attribution, reporting, and campaign measurement.
  • Experience with HubSpot, Gong, Claude, Supermetrics, Webflow, or similar modern marketing technology platforms.
  • Experience building brands that simplify complex technical products through compelling messaging.
Compensation

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $140,000 to $175,000 and applies only to jobs performed in Culver City, California. This range represents the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Please note that we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
