The Senior HR Business Partner will help align human resources strategies with the overall business objectives of the organization. You will serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders and employees across various locations in the areas of HR and talent support, providing expert guidance and support in all areas of HR management. This role focuses on creating a desirable workplace culture and fostering an engaged, productive workforce through plan, design and implementation of Vivent Health’s policies, programs and practices. Your focus will be on driving organizational success through effective people management, talent development, and employee engagement initiatives including ensuring local support for onboarding, offboarding, program implementation, benefits administration, employee relations, engagement and diversity initiatives.

Essential Job Duties

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support the achievement of business goals and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to managers and employees on various HR matters, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Collaborate with managers to identify talent development needs and learning and development programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
  • Implement workforce strategies and deploy development initiatives, performance management tools, appraisals, and talent acquisition processes to diagnose and solve workforce issues, enhancing overall effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Actively engage in employee relations matters, addressing concerns, and promoting a positive work environment that upholds the company's values and ethics.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives to enhance job satisfaction and create a motivated workforce.
  • Work with the HR team to ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices are consistently applied across the organization.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Lead and support and organizational projects and initiatives that foster growth within the workplace.
  • Provides guidance, mentoring and coaching to HR coordinators.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned to support the organization’s HR needs.
  • Adhere to all agency policies, including but not limited to Confidentiality, Employee Handbook, Health Care Corporate Compliance Plan, Standards of Conduct, training, and other relevant policies.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

Required and preferred knowledge and experiences to succeed. 

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 8 years of functional Human resources experience including but not limited to selection, performance management, coaching, developing, and mentoring employees, and inspiring and creating an environment that fosters high engagement.
    • Knowledge of Federal and State employment law, talent acquisition/recruiting, HR compliance, performance management, learning and development, benefits administration, payroll processing, and worker’s compensation/safety.
  • Work Experience:
    • In conjunction with a Bachelor’s degree, minimum of 4 years progressive experience in human resources management with experience in a senior-level HR Business Partner role, working closely with senior leadership and executives.
    • Demonstrated experience in strategic HR planning, talent management, and organizational development with strong knowledge and proven experience in the application of talent strategies: OD and change management practices.
    • Proven ability to link HR strategy to business goals.
  • Technical Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of functional experience in Human Resources and HR Technology (e.g., HRIS, ATS, HCM systems).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Strong facilitation, mentoring/coaching, leadership, and influencing skills, capable of driving HR initiatives and promoting a positive work culture.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to resolve complex HR issues and challenges.
    • Strong bias for action, results oriented, and motivated by outcomes.
    • Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations, and the ability to apply them in a practical and compliant manner.
    • Ability to perform effectively in ambiguity and uncertainty and demonstrate good judgement and decision-making.
    • Ability to make evidence/fact-based decisions that balance the needs of stakeholders and the organization.
    • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, effectively managing multiple priorities and HR projects.
    • Ability to travel based on business need.
  • Additional Preferred Qualifications:
    • HIV experience in a not-for-profit environment.
    • Professional certifications such as PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) from SHRM or similar organization.

Salary Range:

$85,000/annually - $95,000/annually (Depending on Experience)

The final salary will be determined based on factors such as market data, internal equity, candidate experience and qualifications. Please note that it is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range.
