Skillsoft is seeking an experienced Senior Internal & Executive Communications Manager to shape how we communicate across the company! This role connects strategy, leadership, and employees through clear, consistent messaging. In this role, you will help define how Skillsoft shows up internally, translating business priorities into communication that drives understanding and action.
As the leader of this function, you will have the opportunity connect our people to our strategy and our leaders to their teams through clear, actionable communication. Owning the end-to-end, internal and executive communications, partnering closely with senior leaders to shape narratives, drive alignment, and lead communication from concept through execution with a strong point of view.
Responsibilities
Internal Communications
- Own the internal communications strategy and execution across key channels (intranet, company-wide updates, newsletters, town halls), ensuring employees understand what’s happening, why it matters, and how it connects to their day-to-day work
- Own the internal comms roadmap, including calendars, campaigns, and key moments that connect employees to company priorities and progress
- Lead the planning and execution of global town halls, including agenda development, narrative flow, executive preparation, and live delivery
- Partner with HR and business leaders on communications around org changes and key company updates
- Develop messaging and campaigns that connect employees to company goals, priorities, and milestones in a way that feels clear and actionable
- Act as the voice of the employee, ensuring communication is clear, relevant, and grounded in how people experience the company day to day
- Build frameworks and guidance to drive consistency across teams and improve how we communicate over time
- Track performance and engagement to continuously improve how we communicate
Executive Communications
- Lead the development of executive communications, including presentations, scripts, and internal messaging, ensuring leaders are clear, prepared, and effective in high-visibility moments
- Identify and shape the core narrative across leadership priorities, turning multiple inputs into a clear, cohesive story
- Partner directly with senior leaders to prepare for town halls and internal meetings, helping them communicate with clarity and confidence
- Manage up and across executives, asking the right questions, pushing for clarity, and maintaining a high bar for output
Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in internal communications, executive communications, or strategic content roles
- Proven experience working directly with senior leaders and managing communications in fast-moving environments
- Proficient in MS Suite, Zoom (Axios HQ, Asana are Preferred)
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills across formats and channels and the ability to create polished executive presentations that are concise and engage audiences
- Strong executive presence with the confidence to engage, guide, and influence senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to develop original points of view and turn complex inputs into clear, compelling narratives
- Ability to operate independently, make decisions, and drive work forward without waiting for direction
- Excellent project management skills, with a track record of owning and delivering complex, cross-functional work end-to-end
- Experience leading global town halls or large-scale employee communications, including agenda development and executive preparation
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and competing priorities across stakeholders while maintaining clarity and focus
- Clear, concise communicator with high standards for quality and attention to detail
- Experience in SaaS, B2B, or transformation-oriented environments is a plus
Target base salary range for this job requisition is anticipated to be approximately $140,000 - $155,000 annualized.
