The Senior IT Infrastructure & Operations Analyst supports large-scale enterprise IT environments, focusing on infrastructure stability and modernization. Responsibilities include operational support, acting as an escalation point, managing backups, and providing mentorship to junior staff.
We are looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure & Operations Analyst to join our growing technology team.
This role supports large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments in regulated industries and focuses on stability, reliability, and modernization across on-premises and cloud platforms. This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role with opportunities to influence infrastructure standards, tooling, and operational practices.
Responsibilities
- Support and operate enterprise IT infrastructure environments, ensuring performance, availability, and capacity
- Own day-to-day infrastructure operations across servers, virtualization, networking, and cloud platforms
- Partner with engineering, security, and business stakeholders to define infrastructure requirements
- Support infrastructure modernization initiatives, including data center optimization and cloud migration efforts
- Act as a senior escalation point during infrastructure incidents and participate in root-cause analysis
- Provide hands-on L2/L3 support during critical initiatives and high-impact incidents
- Design, document, and support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions
- Plan and execute patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, standards, and operational runbooks
- Manage hardware and software inventory, licensing, and vendor support agreements
- Participate in an on-call rotation and support after-hours activities when required
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Required Skills
- 6+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or operations
- Strong experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure environments
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware or equivalent)
- Solid understanding of Active Directory and identity services
- Experience with backup, restore, and disaster recovery technologies
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, routing, switching)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure layers
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Skills
- Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Experience supporting regulated or highly controlled environments
- Exposure to infrastructure cost management, budgeting, or vendor coordination
- Experience supporting infrastructure modernization or cloud transformation initiatives
- Prior experience acting as a senior technical lead or escalation point
