Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Engineers to employ the latest big data and cloud development tools on their leading-edge Highly Autonomous Driving (HAD) Map Platform Services. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an energetic and dedicated technical team on highly visible, challenging problems with a direct connection to the success of the company.
Successful candidates will be able to:
• Demonstrate their ability to deliver robust, scalable and maintainable software services for internal and external clients.
• They will be comfortable participating in all aspects of the Agile development process from technical requirements analysis through collaborative design, iterative implementation, automated testing and continuous delivery.
We don't expect someone to walk in off the street with the perfect set of skills and experience, just the drive to continuously acquire the complex domain knowledge and new technical development skills required to be effective team members.
The development environment is server-side Java 7/8, with an emphasis on distributed big-data processing (Hadoop/MapReduce) and cloud deployment (AWS, Docker, Puppet). There is some exposure to alternate JVM languages such as Scala and Groovy.
