Position Summary

CVS Health offers an exciting opportunity to join our team as Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Analysis within HCB Controllership. This role will lead the HCB Segment reporting team in the preparation and distribution of periodic financial reporting used internally and externally by collaborating with Business Unit controllers and other Aetna counterparts to obtain and summarize financial data accurately to meet established deadlines.

What you will do:

  • Prepares and distributes various financial reporting, including collection of financial data from various sources (Hyperion/BU Controllers) 

  • Collaborates with business partners to develop and distribute the HCB balance sheet and working capital annual budget and forecasts.

  • Designs the financial reporting strategy to facilitate the interpretation of financial reports through presentations to support decision-making and strategic planning.

  • Determines how to effectively leverage technology to streamline and automate reporting activities across the organization.

  • Maintains a methodology for financial reporting to establish quality and consistency, including proper SOX documentation.

  • Develops relationships with business unit leaders and industry experts to assist in the development of standardized processes in financial reporting.

  • Delivers the regulatory comprehensive financial compliance plan through multi-functional collaboration with internal and external auditors.

  • Develops team management processes to provide guidance and support to team members to ensure high-quality reporting work.

  • Develops cross-functional teams well-versed in accounting, finance, and auditing to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and completeness of financial reports.

  • Communicates strategically across the organization to ensure transparency in accounting treatments, valuation methods, and quality control measures.

  • Aligns policies and procedures for the financial reporting and analysis department with organizational goals.

  • Maintains excellent documentation including standard operating procedures of all work.

In order to be successful in this role you must exhibit the following:

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of finance experience with a focus in Accounting and Auditing of Financial Reports.

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years managing teams.

Knowledge of:

  • Healthcare Industry/Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial business drivers.

  • Accounting, finance, and auditing experience to ensure reliability, accuracy and completeness of financial reports.

Skill In:

  • Advanced Excel skills.

  • Advanced Hyperion skills.

  • Strong SAP/S4 skills.

  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.

  • Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills.

Ability To:

  • Complete responsibilities independently with minimal supervision.

  • Manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

  • Collaborate with multiple departments and areas of the business.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills with Leadership.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent years of related experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$75,400.00 - $182,549.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
