Job Description:

Senior Manager R&D Communications

Th Sr. Manager, Global R&D Communications is accountable for translating R&D strategy, performance and priorities into clear, compelling and consistent communications that enable understanding, alignment and engagement across the organization. The role partners directly with the Global R&D VP and Leadership Team to ensure leadership messaging is coherent, high-quality and aligned to enterprise communications strategies, while tailoring content for R&D-specific contexts.
What are we looking for?

  • Bachelors Degree in Communications, Business or related field.

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in relevant R&D role or corporate communications environment.

  • Experience supporting senior leaders with strategic communications.

  • Proven ability to translate complex technical and strategic topics into clear messaging.

  • Demonstrated success driving change and strategy within global, matrixed organizations.

  • Strong capability and success in storytelling, content development and stakeholder engagement.

What will be your key responsibilities?

R&D Communications Strategy & Alignment

Own the integrated R&D communications approach, aligning strategy, performance, transformation and leadership messaging into a coherent narrative.

Ensure R&D communications are aligned with enterprise communications priorities through a strong dotted-line partnership with Strategic Business Communications leadership.

Define the right channels, cadence and storytelling approach to engage R&D Associates globally.

Leadership & Executive Communications

Act as the communications partner to the Global R&D VP and R&D Leadership Team.

Develop high-quality materials including town halls, leadership meetings, scripts, presentations, Q&A and talking points.

Enable next-level leaders with aligned communication toolkits and consistent messaging.

Content, Storytelling & Engagement

Story-mine across R&D to identify impactful examples across innovation, product development, science and capability building.

Translate complex technical and organisational topics into simple, engaging narratives for diverse audiences.

Create content across internal channels (intranet, video, newsletters, presentations) to reinforce R&D priorities and impact.

Change & Transformation Communications

Support communication of R&D transformation, operating model evolution and major initiatives.

Ensure clarity on purpose, benefits, progress and outcomes to drive engagement and adoption.

Cross-functional & Corporate Affairs Integration

Partner closely with Corporate Affairs and Strategic Business Communications teams to ensure consistency across Commercial, R&D and Sustainability.

Support coordination of external-facing leadership content where required, in alignment with corporate communications strategies.

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

Define and track communication effectiveness, including reach, engagement and clarity.

Continuously improve communications based on feedback, data and evolving business needs.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 119,040.00 - USD 163,680.00
