Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead the Production Support function for Financial Systems within the SAP S/4HANA landscape. This role resides in the Finance Organization owns end-to-end functional production support, user experience, reporting, and continuous improvement for Finance applications.

The ideal candidate brings deep SAP S/4HANA expertise, strong finance and accounting knowledge, and proven leadership experience to effectively triage complex issues, partner with IT, and deliver stable, high-quality solutions for Finance users. This role requires a strategic and operational leader who can balance day-to-day production support with longer-term enhancement delivery, user enablement, and metrics-driven transparency for leadership.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Support & End-User Enablement
  • Lead enterprise production support for SAP S/4HANA Finance.
  • Ensure timely intake, triage, and resolution of production issues.
  • Own ticket management processes, ensuring consistent prioritization, escalation, and closure of defects and enhancement requests.
Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop a small team with a strong enterprise mindset.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Support ongoing finance transformation and system migration initiatives through effective change management.
Metrics, Reporting & Transparency
  • Own production support metrics and leadership reporting.
  • Provide monthly updates to Finance and Technology leadership.
  • Use insights from metrics to drive prioritization, staffing decisions, and process improvements.
Project Management
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues or roadblocks promptly.
  • Coordinate and support end-user training for deployed changes.
Stakeholder & IT Partnership
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Finance and IT for production support and system enhancements.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships across Finance, Accounting, and Technology teams.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and gather requirements.
  • Present design concepts and project updates to stakeholders, incorporating their feedback into the design process.
Communications & Knowledge Management
  • Own Finance Systems communications, including user-facing emails, distribution lists, and production support mailbox management.
  • Ensure training materials and documentation are accurate, current, and easy to consume.
  • Establish and maintain a cadence for periodic updates to training content, including a minimum annual review cycle.

    Required Qualifications

    • 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
    • 3+ years of SAP S/4HANA or related SAP module experience.
    • 3+ years of direct or indirect people leadership experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Work with large ERP platforms.
    • Background in corporate accounting, finance, or financial systems.
    • Experience in consulting or large-scale finance transformation programs.
    • Demonstrated ability to work across complex systems, apply critical thinking, and challenge the status quo.

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in accounting or finance or related experience; equivalent years of related professional work experience may substitute.

    Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is:

    $67,900.00 - $182,549.00


    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
