Director, Services Business Development
Mastercard Services provides cutting edge services in the areas of Business & Market Intelligence, Customer Acquisition and Engagement, Security Solutions, and Open Banking. Focused on thinking big and scaling fast, our sales team is responsible for end-to-end solutions for a diverse customer base including large tech companies, ecommerce, media, fintechs, ERPs, processors & program managers.
As a Director (Senior Managing Consultant) on our FinTech, Commercial & Global Digital Partners Business Development team, you will be at the frontline of generating excitement and demand for our unique solutions. We value individuals who possess consultative sales experience, exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, comfort navigating complex sales processes, and the ability to form and manage successful lasting client relationships.
Role• Responsible for rigorous business development and ongoing account ownership for Services within Digital Partnerships and emerging verticals with direct revenue, account ownership, and sales responsibilities.• Will serve as the face of Mastercard Services to senior-level client stakeholders, including c-suite• Responsible for driving coordination within Demand Generation, Marketing, Solutions, and Product teams across Services business lines and value propositions, focused on the above-defined client vertical in the US• Responsible for setting the commercial agenda for assigned territories • Will partner with Digital Partnerships account management teams to develop a plan to support their strategic imperatives and revenue objectives • Will collaborate closely with delivery teams to optimize go-to-market efforts and to ensure best-in-class value delivery• Travel 10-25% of the time for internal and external meetings/ commitments
All About You• Strong commercial drive with the ability to build and monetize senior client relationships based on empathy, thought leadership, knowledge of product impact, and subject matter expertise• Ability to own and drive end-to-end sales from initial prospecting through a signed contract• Collaborative attitude with an understanding of how to win as a team and balance various stakeholders across a large organization• Strong networker across relevant stakeholder bases with the ability to listen, build common ground, and influence to advance business opportunities and generate revenues effectively• Top-level sales skills (internally and externally) combined with strong negotiation capabilities required for large deals• Keen lead generation and organizational skills and strong discipline to habitually drive top-of-funnel activity, follow-ups, and conversion• Ability to learn numerous products to drive usage/ revenue across diverse departments/ functions externally • Ability to co-sell with other teams, manage overlapping prospects, etc. and support common goals and promote healthy and productive working relationships• Strong commercial negotiation skills/understanding, comfort in structuring mutually beneficial terms for customer's sole consumption and/or distribution• Able to travel domestically up to 20-25% of the time• Bachelor's degree or similar
National Salary Band (Regardless of Location): $174,000 - $274,000

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more.
