Role Overview 

The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Business Operations Leader is responsible for driving the operational effectiveness, strategic alignment, and business performance for the Electrical Power organization. The leader partners closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Program teams to enable flawless new product introduction, lead large high-impact strategic projects, and drive continuous improvement of manufacturing capabilities and outcomes. 

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Establish and maintain regular operational rhythms to enable on-time and on-budget delivery of program, project, and strategic initiatives 
  • Partner with functional leaders to develop Standard Work tools and procedures that can be leveraged across Manufacturing Engineering organizations 
  • Develop and maintain Manufacturing Engineering roadmap(s) for capabilities, tools, digital integrations, and workforce development 
  • Lead portfolio management of Chief Manufacturing Engineering (CME) initiatives (NPI, DFM, automation, continuous improvement) and ensure alignment to strategic priorities 
  • Coordinate with IT/Digital to prioritize and deploy digital tools, analytics, and automation that enhance Manufacturing Engineering productivity and process capability 
  • Act as primary interface between Manufacturing Engineering and Finance for cost management, investment cases, and productivity commitments 
  • Champion FLIGHT DECK and continuous improvement with Chief Manufacturing Engineering 
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering organizational design to ensure the right structure, roles, and capabilities to meet business needs 
  • Mentor and coach Chief Manufacturing Engineering (CME) and Manufacturing Engineering leaders on business operations, execution discipline, and stakeholder management 
  • Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture built on respect, accountability, and continuous improvement. 
  • Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicate difficult concepts and influence others to consider different points of view. 
  • Travel 10% - 25% (approximate) 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 12 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, and/or Operations) 
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Engineering Leadership and/or Operations Leadership  
  • This position requires U.S. citizenship status 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration (MBA), or related field 
  • Proven track record in operational performance management and complex program/portfolio leadership 
  • Experience in aerospace or other highly regulated, complex manufacturing environments 
  • Experience implementing digital manufacturing, model-based enterprise, or advanced analytics solutions 
  • Expertise in business operations, including planning, metrics/KPIs, and governance 
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and drive closure on actions 
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills 
  • Experience with lean/continuous improvement methodologies 
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects 
  • Strong financial acumen (budgeting, cost-out, investment cases) 

The base pay range for this position is $159,000 - $212,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close by February 27, 2026.
