Job Summary
The Senior Marketing Analyst is a part of the Marketing Intelligence team, whose mandate is to help the Marketing Team dig into the marketing data sourced from multiple systems such as: Salesforce, Eloqua, Netsuite, Google Analytics, etc. This data is used to understand how we’re effectively connecting and converting customers, and more importantly, ways we may be missing the mark to guide the course of strategy. The role also needs to work cross-functionally between teams to guide measurement frameworks, data strategy, and performance analytics to help shape and influence the success of our marketing campaigns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather information on back-end data architecture to understand the organization’s Martech stack
- Connect to and extract raw data from the organization’s tech systems.
- Leverage both standard (tried & tested) methodologies, as well as innovate custom algorithms in data transformation (ELT and ETL techniques)
- Transform, cross-reference, and interconnect the data from the above mentioned multiple sources.
- Extract meaningful information and inferences from the above transformations of data.
- Design and develop front-end dashboards that communicate the above information in a clear and intuitive manner to senior and executive level stakeholders.
- Work with multiple teams within the organization to understand requirements, as well as deliver the above dashboards for their use.
- Specific visual design for front end, as per custom requirements of team(s)
- Regular weekly and/or monthly reports and detailed analysis from the above dashboards for delivery to senior level management
- Ad-hoc analyses of data as per requirements from internal teams.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related fields. Minimum five years of experience in the marketing area.
Experience in:
- Working with databases
- Martech systems with underlying datasets
- Analytical tools that utilize multiple data tables
- Relational data architecture (preferred)
- Excellent statistical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communications skills with experience presenting to senior level audiences
- Good project management skills
- Good query building logic/design in transforming and handling data
- Experience with dashboard visual design
- Ability to use innovating ways to connect to nonstandard data sources
