Senior Marketing Specialist
The Sr. Marketing Specialist will work as part of an in-house marketing team responsible for supporting national operations across multiple brands in various industrial sectors. Duties will involve supporting marketing efforts, including website content development in coordination with technical staff, general branding refinement activities, supporting strategic business development initiatives, increasing brand awareness on social media, and engaging in a wide range of creative design and digital projects. This position will report to the Marketing Director and will work closely with other internal marketing team members.
Responsibilities:
- Unique position supporting a wide range of marketing activities for multiple brands associated with Weaver Companies (www.theweavercompanies.com).
- Partner with technical teams to develop content explaining the company’s various engineering, construction, and environmental service offerings.
- Provide technical teams with creative design support on select sales initiatives such as client and conference presentations.
- Support design and content updates for marketing brochures, corporate resumes, project technical descriptions, and additional marketing materials.
- Maintain marketing files in an organized fashion, including photography files, marketing collateral, and analytical data reporting.
- Involvement with tradeshows, industry conferences, professional associations, and client/employee events.
- Assist in the preparation of marketing materials, such as statements of qualifications (SOQs) and requests for proposals (RFPs). May require advanced formatting in Microsoft Office Suite; specifically, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Work on further developing the social media presence across select brands.
- Representation of the Marketing department at various cross-functional department meetings and committees.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Expert-level skill set in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Demonstrated history of success developing branding and marketing collateral.
- Brochures, sales sheets, investor relations materials, corporate communications, presentations, campaigns, etc.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize deliverables across multiple projects.
- Flexible and adaptable as department priorities evolve to support operational needs
- Professional, ethical, and committed to excellence in communications.
- Ability to virtually collaborate and work effectively with other co-workers, administrative departments, and technical groups located across our 20+ offices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a marketing-related field required.
- 3 to 5 years of formal marketing experience.
- Experience working with or for B2B companies in the Construction, Engineering, Industrial, Environmental, or Consulting sectors is a plus
- Prior involvement in supporting corporate-level marketing, communications, creative, sales, contracts, and/or business development teams.
- Ability to work in a hybrid work environment with a minimum of 2-days a week in our Chicago, IL office.
- A valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing is required.
