Build and maintain iOS and Android apps, own features end-to-end, implement high-quality UI/UX, ship consumer-facing AI (including on-device ML) to production, integrate REST APIs, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to mobile architecture.

Fuse Energy is an energy startup on a mission to make energy abundant and affordable, fast. We combine first-principles thinking with cutting-edge technology to build a radically better energy system.

We've raised over $200M from top-tier investors including Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Lowercarbon, Ribbit, 20VC, Hummingbird and Collaborative Fund, alongside strategic angels including Nico Rosberg and GPs behind Meta, Revolut, Spotify and Uber.

We're building a fully integrated energy company: developing our own solar, batteries and other generation projects, building our own hardware, improving and developing grid infrastructure, trading power in real time, using AI across the business, and installing distributed energy in homes. By selling directly to consumers we cut out the middleman, lower costs and pass the savings on to our customers.

We're hiring Mobile Engineers to join a small, high-ownership team. You won't be handed fully-specced tickets: you'll own features end to end, from customer-facing product to internal tools, including shipping consumer-facing AI features into production on mobile. You'll work in Swift and Kotlin across iOS and Android alongside a tight team of mobile and web engineers. Our infrastructure and backend are already excellent; we're looking for mobile engineers who bring the same bar of craft and ownership.

Responsibilities
  • Build dynamic UI. AI composes a different experience for each customer from the components you build, and there's no established pattern to follow
  • Ship vision models that run on the device. Balcony scan to panel count, meter photo to instant quote, and fault detection that catches dangerous meter faults a human would miss
  • Make AI native to the product rather than a chat window stapled to the side.
  • Own features end to end, from architecture through to shipped, polished UI
  • Work closely with our backend and AI engineers and designers.
  • Set the bar for mobile craft. We care how things look and feel, not just whether they work
  • Help define product direction, not just execute it. We want people who dig into the "why", not just the "how"

Requirements
  • 5+ years building mobile applications, deep in Swift or Kotlin with the range to work across both. You've stayed hands-on throughout
  • You don't stop at the client. You've worked beneath the framework and reached into the backend.
  • Demonstrated ownership, able to speak to decisions you drove, not just tasks you completed
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across product, design, backend and web
  • Genuinely AI-native. You get real leverage from agents without handing over your judgement
  • We have an office in London, but we hire anywhere in the world

Benefits
    • Competitive salary and eligibility for equity
    • Biannual bonus scheme
    • Fully expensed tech to match your needs
    • Private health insurance
    • Breakfast and dinner allowance for office-based employees

As we hire globally, benefits vary by location.
