AMEXIO is a global digital transformation partner delivering cutting-edge, highly innovative solutions and services to help our clients stay ahead in an era of digital-first experiences

WHO DO WE SEEK?

We are growing our North American team and looking for a Senior OpenText / Documentum Technical Consultant to serve as a cornerstone of our US operations. Whether you are seeking a permanent full-time position or prefer to work as an independent contractor, we want to hear from you. This is a high-impact, highly visible role that blends hands-on technical delivery, pre-sales, and team leadership, giving you the opportunity to shape both client outcomes and the direction of our NA practice.

You will work closely with our project management team and direct both internal and contract technical staff on the delivery of complex ECM solutions. During quieter periods, you may also support our European teams on international engagements.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the technical lead on client projects, owning the end-to-end delivery of OpenText / Documentum solutions from design through implementation.
  • Actively contribute to pre-sales activities — engaging clients, understanding their needs, and shaping winning proposals and solution designs.
  • Define and produce high-level and low-level technical designs that meet the highest standards of quality and scalability.
  • Translate functional requirements into clear technical analyses and architectures.
  • Lead and mentor internal and contract technical staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous development.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, challenging stakeholders where appropriate and recommending the most future-proof solutions based on your expertise.
  • Share your vision on Enterprise Content Management with clients and colleagues, helping to elevate the practice across the organization.
  • Collaborate with project management to ensure solutions are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification.

Requirements
  • Deep OpenText / Documentum Expertise:
    • Substantial hands-on experience with Documentum Webtop and D2
    • Strong knowledge of DQL (Documentum Query Language) and the Documentum object model
    • Proficiency in D2 configuration and customization
    • Knowledge of D2/Smart View is a strong asset
    • Solid knowledge of OpenText Documentum platform integrations
    • Familiarity with OpenText xECM platform and integrations is a plus
  • Technical Excellence:
    • Proficiency in Java, Python, or .NET for custom development
    • Experience with SQL and database management (Oracle, MS SQL, Postgres)
    • Familiarity with cloud deployments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for ECM workloads
    • Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
    • Broader knowledge of the OpenText Documentum product suite and additional OpenText tools is a plus — the more you know, the more impact you'll have
    • Architecture mindset: A sharp eye for system integration, with the ability to deliver solutions that are both technically sound and aligned to client needs.
    • Leadership and collaboration: Proven experience leading technical teams, motivating colleagues, and driving projects to successful outcomes — comfortable operating both as a hands-on contributor and a team leader.
    • Client-facing confidence: Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Proactive problem-solver: You think in solutions, not just problems, able to anticipate challenges and address them before they escalate.

Benefits

For Full-Time Employees

  • Competitive salary ranging from $125,000 to $155,000 based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
  • Generous pension / retirement contribution program.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and wellness benefits.
  • Equipment provided: laptop, phone and internet allowance, and a mobility/travel budget.
  • A strong focus on training, coaching, and career development — we invest in your growth.
  • The opportunity to work on high-impact, large-scale projects across a range of industries.
  • Collaborate with talented professionals across the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
  • Access to leading tools and technology to support your success.
  • A people-first culture that values achievement, recognition, and work-life balance.
  • A remote-friendly environment designed to support flexibility and employee well-being.

For Independent Contractors

  • Competitive contract rates commensurate with your experience.
  • Flexible engagement terms — project-based or ongoing retainer arrangements.
  • The opportunity to work on high-impact, enterprise-scale projects with marquee clients.
  • A collaborative team environment where your expertise is genuinely valued.

Why AMEXIO?

At AMEXIO, you won't be just another consultant. As a Platinum OpenText Partner and two-time award winner — OpenText Reseller Partner of the Year (2024) and Excellence in Content Management Award (2025) — we're Europe's leading ECM integrator.

You'll be a key player in building and leading our North American ECM practice. You'll have the autonomy to take ownership, the support of an experienced global team, and the platform to grow your career in a direction that excites you.
