●Monitor and stay up-to-date with evolving global privacy laws, regulations, and trends in the cybersecurity space.
●Work closely with other legal, compliance, and security teams to ensure a holistic approach to privacy and security risk management.
●Manage and respond to data subject access requests (DSARs) and other privacy-related inquiries.
●Support internal and external investigations and audits related to data security and privacy policies and practices.

● Lead the company’s privacy and security compliance programs, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

What you bring to the table:
●J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
●6-10 years of legal experience with a focus on privacy, data protection, and cybersecurity law.
●Deep knowledge of privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other national/international privacy and security regulations.
●Experience advising technology or cybersecurity companies on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters related to data protection and security.

●Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for non-legal stakeholders.
●A proactive and collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
●Certification in privacy law (CIPP, CIPM, etc.) is a plus but not required.
