The OpportunityAs a Procurement Specialist, Sourcing and Systems, you will be a key member of Superhuman’s procurement team—a function that has been operating for five years and is now investing in the next generation of tooling, automation, and AI to do more with less. You’ll own the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for a diverse set of internal teams, from initial vendor evaluation through contract close and renewal, while actively driving improvements to how the team operates.
In this role, you will:
- Drive end-to-end procurement activities across cloud services, professional services, and SaaS tools - managing up to 40+ concurrent procurement activities
- Negotiate price and contract terms directly with vendors and suppliers, achieving meaningful cost savings and favorable conditions
- Partner closely with Support, People, Finance, Legal, and Strategy & Operations teams to understand business needs and deliver procurement solutions
- Build and improve procurement processes, workflows, and documentation - bringing modern tooling, automation, and cleaner process design to an established and growing function
- Leverage AI tools and automation to streamline procurement operations and increase throughput without increasing headcount
- Conduct pricing analysis and market benchmarking to ensure Superhuman gets the best possible value from its vendor relationships
- Manage the vendor renewal pipeline proactively, initiating renewals 2–3 months in advance to avoid costly last-minute negotiations
- Own vendor relationship management, performance monitoring, and supplier onboarding
- Has 5–7 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management, ideally in a high-growth tech company
- Demonstrated track record of negotiating SaaS, cloud, and professional services contracts with measurable cost savings
- Experience improving and scaling procurement operations in an existing function—comfortable identifying process gaps, driving automation, and eliminating manual toil
- Proficient with procurement tools and contract management systems; eager to adopt and advocate for AI-powered tools and automation to scale impact
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct pricing benchmarks, run TCO analyses, and build data-driven business cases for stakeholders
- Effective communicator and cross-functional collaborator who can influence without authority across Support, People, Finance, Legal, and Strategy & Operations
- High level of business acumen; able to balance cost, risk, and speed when advising internal stakeholders on sourcing decisions
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage 40+ concurrent workstreams and consistently meet multiple deadlines
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment—excited to modernize and scale, not just maintain the status quo
- Has a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, proactively manages tasks and priorities across multiple projects, analyzes and executes work efficiently, collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, and thrives in fast-paced, results-driven environments.
