Own the member-facing mobile (and near-term signed-in web) product roadmap for AI-powered genomic experiences. Drive activation, engagement, retention, and trust by translating intelligence-layer capabilities into polished consumer UX, rapid prototypes, experiments, and clear PRDs while partnering with AI platform, engineering, bioinformatics, design, and customer success.
Sequencing is building the interface between humanity and its DNA.
Using clinical-grade whole genome sequencing, AI, and a rapidly expanding ecosystem of genomic applications, we help people better understand themselves, their health, and their future through their DNA.
The human genome is one of the most valuable and underutilized resources in the world. Our mission is to transform the human genome into a lifelong source of personalized guidance and build the trusted home for every genome on Earth.
As the world’s largest direct-to-consumer whole genome sequencing platform, Sequencing is helping define the future of AI-powered personalized health.
We’re a profitable, venture-backed, fully remote company building category-defining products that help people better understand themselves through their DNA.
The opportunity
As Senior Product Manager, AI Applications, you will own the day-to-day product roadmap for the polished, consumer-optimized experiences through which members interact with Sequencing’s intelligence layer.
Reporting: This role reports to the Senior Director, AI & Emerging Technologies.
Your primary output is a flagship member-facing mobile product that earns trust, repeat use, and long-term retention. Near term, you will also own the signed-in member web experience as an extension of the same journey. This does not include ownership of the broader Sequencing.com web portfolio, and the boundary should be revisited if that broader experience becomes a distinct product surface.
You will combine strong consumer-mobile judgment with hands-on AI fluency. You will use analytics, experimentation, customer research, and Customer Success signals to turn complex genomic intelligence into experiences that feel clear, trustworthy, emotionally resonant, and increasingly valuable over time.
What you’ll own
• The day-to-day member-facing mobile roadmap and the near-term signed-in member web experience.
• A coherent end-to-end member journey across onboarding, asking questions, understanding answers, memory and personalization, proactive guidance, and returning over time.
• Product outcomes for trust, activation, repeat use, engagement, and long-term retention.
• The translation of intelligence-layer capabilities into polished product behavior, working closely with the AI Platform PM, Engineering, Bioinformatics, and Design.
• Rapid prototypes and user tests that clarify product intent before expensive implementation.
• A disciplined learning loop using analytics, experiments, user feedback, Customer Success signals, and market evidence.
• Clear PRDs, acceptance criteria, success measures, happy and unhappy paths, and visible unresolved decisions.
• A product experience that communicates scientific uncertainty honestly without sacrificing usefulness or confidence.
• Expansion into adjacent applications powered by the same intelligence layer, including partner-facing reports and outputs, once the core member experience is under control.
Who you are
• You have 7 to 10 years of product management experience with a strong record shipping polished native-mobile consumer products.
• You have driven measurable improvements in activation, engagement, repeat use, retention, or subscription value.
• You have strong product taste and can explain why an experience earns trust, feels coherent, and creates a reason to return.
• You use analytics, experiments, customer research, and qualitative evidence to make and revisit product decisions.
• You are AI-native and hands-on. You can use AI to prototype, interrogate requirements, explore product states, and accelerate learning.
• You can speak concretely about the tools, evaluation, guardrails, and failure modes behind an AI-powered experience, even when you are not the platform owner.
• You can translate complex scientific or technical capabilities into clear consumer behavior without flattening important uncertainty.
• You write clear PRDs and partner effectively with Engineering, Bioinformatics, Design, Customer Success, and platform teams.
• You are based in the United States and comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-moving, fully remote environment.
Helpful experience
• Health, wellness, genomics, or another trust-sensitive consumer domain.
• Conversational interfaces, longitudinal personalization, subscriptions, or lifecycle engagement.
• Signed-in web experiences that extend a native-mobile product.
Benefits overview
• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
• 401(k) with company matching
• Paid time off (PTO)
• Paid volunteer time off
• Fully remote work with home office stipend
• Parental bonding leave
• Clinical-grade whole genome sequencing for you and your family (private and confidential)
Join Sequencing
