About Apptega

We make software that solves big problems and has big impact. Our team is comprised of people who take their work (but not themselves) seriously, who love a daunting challenge, who put the customer first, and who pull for each other. We value accountability, fast pace, big energy, bigger fun, and an urgency to win. Sound like you? Read on…

About the role

Apptega is looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Product Marketing Manager to own how we bring our platform to market—across messaging, content, and demand generation.

This role sits at the center of marketing, product, sales, and our partner ecosystem. You will define how we position Apptega in a crowded cybersecurity and GRC market, create compelling narratives that resonate with our ICP, and drive demand through a mix of content and performance marketing (in partnership with external agencies).

This is a high-impact, high-ownership role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and is excited to build, scale, and optimize across multiple marketing functions.

What you'll do

Product Marketing & Positioning:

  • Own Apptega’s messaging, positioning, and value propositions across products, personas, and segments
  • Translate product capabilities into clear, differentiated, and compelling stories—especially around ROI for partners and customers
  • Partner closely with Product to support launches, releases, and roadmap communication
  • Develop and maintain core assets including messaging frameworks, personas, and use cases

Content Strategy & Execution:

  • Lead content strategy across the funnel (awareness → conversion → enablement)
  • Create and oversee high-impact content across formats (web, email, sales collateral, webinars, thought leadership)
  • Ensure consistent storytelling and voice across all external channels
  • Incorporate customer insights and voice-of-customer into all messaging
  • Demand Generation (with Agency Management)
  • Own demand generation strategy in partnership with external agency (website, SEO, GEO/AEO, paid media)
  • Act as the internal lead for agency management—setting priorities, reviewing performance, and ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Collaborate on campaign strategy, landing pages, and conversion optimization
  • Monitor performance and continuously optimize programs for pipeline impact

Sales & Partner Enablement:

  • Develop sales and partner enablement materials that drive pipeline and revenue
  • Support indirect/channel motion with tailored messaging and assets for:
  • MSPs, MSSPs, VARs/resellers
  • Distributors (TSDs), agents, referral partners
  • Create tools such as pitch decks, battlecards, talk tracks, and “vs.” competitive pages
  • Partner with Sales and Channel teams to ensure alignment and effectiveness
  • Go-to-Market & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Lead go-to-market planning and execution for product launches and key initiatives
  • Align marketing efforts with sales, product, and leadership priorities
  • Bring structure and clarity to a fast-paced, evolving environment

What we are looking for...

We’re less focused on years of experience and more on proven ability to own and execute across this scope.

Core Experience:

  • Strong background in product marketing, ideally in cybersecurity, SaaS, or GRC
  • Experience owning or heavily contributing to content strategy and creation
  • Familiarity with demand generation, including working with external agencies (SEO, paid, web)
  • Experience supporting or selling through channel/partner ecosystems

Domain Expertise (Strongly Preferred):

  • Cybersecurity and/or GRC (governance, risk, compliance) market knowledge
  • Understanding of ICP, buyer journey, and enterprise/SMB security decision-making
  • Familiarity with indirect selling models and partner types (MSP, MSSP, VAR, TSD, etc.)

Competencies:

  • Exceptional storyteller and communicator across formats (written, visual, verbal)
  • Able to operate both strategically and tactically—you can build the plan and execute it
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple workstreams (including external partners)
  • Naturally curious and forward-thinking, with a strong interest in customers, market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging AI capabilities, and the ability to apply AI to drive efficiencies and enhance messaging, content, and go-to-market execution
  • Self-motivated and highly independent; able to take ownership, create momentum, and drive work forward with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment
  • Results-driven and focused on business impact, using data, feedback, and performance insights to optimize programs and improve pipeline contribution
  • Strong bias for action with attention to detail
  • Comfortable in a small team environment with evolving priorities
  • Collaborative, accountable, and driven to raise the bar for yourself and others

Why this role matters...

This role is critical to Apptega’s growth. You will directly shape how we:

  • Differentiate in a crowded cybersecurity market
  • Enable our partners to sell more effectively
  • Generate demand and drive pipeline

If you’re excited about owning a broad scope, building in a fast-paced environment, and making a visible impact, this role is for you!
