Iron Mountain’s Government Solutions (IMGS) group is hiring an experienced Senior Program Manager (SPM).   The PM is the Iron Mountain point of contact for a program or set of projects for our Federal/State and Local Government clients. The PM oversees all project phases and is responsible for overall management of risk, finance, staffing, contract, task delegation, and client satisfaction, relationships and the delivery of the project on time and on budget. Responsibilities may include coordinating and facilitating meetings, conducting program reviews, reviewing and approving all deliverables, writing status reports and managing any subcontractor activity. The Program Manager is expected to be a domain expert in records management and/or information technology as well as having domain skills in project/program management.
 

The Program Manager owns successful delivery of large, high impact & cross-functional program initiatives while simultaneously tracking a set of smaller projects.  The PM will closely collaborate with the Sales, Operations, Contracts, Implementation, and Information Technology Teams in bringing Iron Mountain products and services to our Customers. Capture and proposal engagement and experience is important as the program manager will have the chance to lead and participate in opportunity activities and help win new business. The Program Manager understands our business and its objectives, and then brings solutions to market to solve the business problems in a very ambiguous, fast-paced, and collaborative environment. It relies on influence, adaptability and ingenuity over authority to drive project delivery.  

Responsibilities:

Program & Project Management

  • Work with key stakeholders in product management and executive teams to define program strategy and requirements

  • Own successful delivery of large, high impact and cross-functional program/product initiatives while simultaneously tracking a set of smaller projects 

  • Lead resource planning efforts across the Program Management team

  • Communicate clearly and effectively to executive management on the plans, status and critical issues. 

  • Prioritize work in partnership with Operations Managers and Organizational Leadership

Continuous Improvement 

  • Lead process improvement initiatives to improve our go-to-market capabilities and speed.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives to improve product delivery capabilities within an agile development environment. 

Financial Management

  • Contribute to monthly forecasts and yearly investment plans & budgets for the program management/account team

  • Create financial business cases in partnership with Product Management to justify new strategic initiatives

  • Manage the financial performance for the year including actuals vs. budget and monthly forecasts

Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; Master’s degree is a plus.

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience with 5+ years in Program Management

  • Certifications:  Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred, but not required

  • Large IT Program Management experience is desired.  

  • Proven program leader experienced in managing a geographically dispersed team of indirect employees and external contractors.  This position interlocks with many organizations including Sales, Sales Enablement, Product Management, Marketing, Finance, Legal and IT.

  • Program Management experience in implementing customer aligned business solutions to include reporting, deliverable coordination, risk/opportunity management, financial planning, scheduling, and customer engagement.  Examples include implementing digitization solutions on-site at customer location and then managing on-going deliverables with increased efficiency.

  • Strong facilitation and communication skills; clear & concise communications at multiple levels is key

  • Solid process improvement background with hands on experience in agile development practices

  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Role is hybrid

Reasonably expected salary range: $123,500.00 - $164,700.00

Please note that an employee's starting salary may vary based on a variety of factors. Where State, Municipal, Provincial, Territorial or other legal minimum wages exceed the federal minimum wage, employees are entitled to the higher rate.
