Senior Project Architect

Shorewood, IL

The Will Group is seeking a licensed Senior Project Architect to lead K–12, commercial, and private-sector projects within an integrated architecture and engineering environment.

In this role, you’ll guide projects from concept through construction, collaborate closely with in-house structural, civil, and MEP teams, and serve as a trusted partner to school districts, commercial clients, and private owners.

Note: This role is based in Shorewood, IL and reports to the Director of Architecture in Mattoon, IL, collaborating closely across both locations.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead architectural projects from programming through construction administration
  • Translate client goals, budgets, and schedules into functional, code-compliant designs
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver fully integrated solutions
  • Lead client meetings, design workshops, and stakeholder presentations
  • Oversee construction administration, including submittals, RFIs, and site visits
  • Maintain design quality, technical accuracy, and constructability across projects

What We’re Looking For

  • Licensed Architect with a B.Arch or M.Arch
  • 10+ years of professional experience, including K–12 and commercial/private-sector projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience in an integrated architecture and engineering firm
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills

Salary Range: $120,000–$150,000 annually
