Grant Street Group is an innovative and rapidly growing software company that supports government agencies and financial institutions through specialized SaaS solutions focused on tax collection, electronic payments, and more. Our work is meaningful, complex, and highly collaborative — and we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead large, high-impact implementation programs across multiple clients and teams. The project portfolio may include mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and integrations, as well as other major business initiatives. M&A work is anticipated, though it may not begin immediately; this role will lead other strategic projects as business priorities require. 

This is not a coordination-only role. We are seeking someone who can independently lead complex initiatives from planning to execution, drive M&A-related work forward, manage risk proactively, align stakeholders, and adapt to shifting priorities.

 

What You'll Do

  • Lead project management for mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, integrations, and other major cross-functional projects from early planning through successful execution

  • Build and manage detailed project plans, timelines, workstreams, milestones, and decision logs across multiple concurrent initiatives

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across finance, legal, HR, product, engineering, operations, security, leadership, and external partners

  • Support due diligence efforts by organizing data requests, tracking open items, coordinating stakeholders, and maintaining momentum across workstreams

  • Help drive integration planning and execution, including readiness activities, dependency management, and post-close follow-through

  • Identify risks, dependencies, blockers, and decision points early and proactively drive resolution strategies

  • Facilitate executive-level communication, status reporting, governance meetings, and stakeholder alignment

  • Manage competing priorities across multiple workstreams while maintaining visibility into overall project health

  • Drive accountability across teams while fostering collaboration, trust, and clarity

  • Help improve internal M&A processes, integration playbooks, and operational best practices

  • Support teams through changing priorities and evolving business needs with a calm, solutions-oriented approach

  • Travel up to 35% as needed based on project requirements

What We're Looking For

    Successful candidates will bring strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills along with experience managing large-scale, cross-functional initiatives related to mergers and acquisitions, integrations, enterprise transformation, or similarly complex business operations.

    Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of project/program management experience in M&A, corporate development, consulting, financial services, enterprise technology, operations, or similarly complex environments

  • Prior experience leading an M&A project

  • Experience leading or supporting merger, acquisition, integration, or other high-visibility cross-functional initiatives

  • Ability to operate independently in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities

  • Excel at building alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics clearly and simply to executives, teams, and external partners

  • Sound judgment and discretion when managing sensitive or confidential initiatives 

  • Experience managing projects involving multiple systems, functions, vendors, and cross-functional dependencies

  • A highly organized, flexible and pragmatic approach, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution

  • Proactive problem solver who anticipates issues before they become roadblocks

  • Experience recovering or stabilizing challenged projects/programs or navigating ambiguity during periods of organizational change

  • Preferred Experience
  • Experience with due diligence coordination, integration planning, and post-close execution

  • Experience with change management, process improvement, or operational integration efforts

  • Experience in SaaS, software, financial services, or other regulated industries

  • Experience managing distributed or remote teams

  • PMP or related project management certifications are welcome but not required

Expected Salary Range: $150,000 – $250,000/year
