About Pair Team

Pair Team is a public benefit company reimagining care for the safety net. As an AI-enabled medical group for Medicaid and Medicare, we deliver medical, behavioral, and social care by integrating shelters, pantries and other community-based organizations into our whole-person model. As California’s largest complex care provider, we’ve proven our impact to reduce avoidable emergency care, including a 52% and 26% reduction in ER visits and hospitalizations respectively. Once scaled nationally, our approach would save tax payers $150B per year.

With our years of experience and vast data collected, we are now building an AI platform that embeds social work agents across the safety net to truly unify our fragmented healthcare and welfare system. By scaling our country’s frontline medical and social services workforce, we aim to bring high-touch care to everyone.

At Pair Team, we’re not just delivering care—we’re transforming it. We’re building a future where high-touch, community-driven care is accessible to everyone, especially the most underserved.

About the Opportunity

As we continue to scale, we're looking for a Senior Recruiter to join our small but high-impact Talent Acquisition team. This is an opportunity to play a critical role in building the teams that deliver care to our members every day—hiring the clinicians, care teams, and operational leaders who directly impact patient outcomes. We're looking for a recruiter with deep healthcare and clinical recruiting experience who can also flex into corporate hiring as business needs evolve.

Because we're a lean team, you'll have broad ownership, visibility, and influence. One day you may be helping hire a Care Manager or Community Health Worker, and the next partnering on a Regional General Manager, Operations, or other strategic corporate hire. You'll work closely with leaders across the organization, helping shape hiring strategy while building the teams that power our growth.

This is an opportunity to grow alongside the business, expand your recruiting scope, and help build a world-class talent function from the ground up.

This is a fully remote position reporting to the Head of People.

What You’ll Do
  • Own full-cycle recruiting for a variety of clinical and care delivery roles, including Care Managers, Nurses, and the operational leaders who support and scale these teams, such as Team Managers, Regional General Managers, and others responsible for driving patient outcomes and operational excellence
    • Support hiring across additional business functions as needed, including Sales/Networks, Marketing, Finance, and other corporate teams
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to develop hiring strategies, align on candidate profiles, and drive efficient, high-quality hiring decisions
  • Build and manage strong candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing, networking, referrals, and outbound recruiting efforts
  • Screen, assess, and guide candidates throughout the interview process while delivering an exceptional candidate experience
  • Manage multiple searches simultaneously while maintaining a high bar for quality, speed, and stakeholder communication
  • Use recruiting data and pipeline metrics to identify bottlenecks, improve conversion rates, and inform hiring strategy
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers on market conditions, talent availability, compensation trends, and recruiting best practices
  • Strengthen Pair Team's employer brand by serving as an ambassador for our mission and culture throughout the hiring process
What You’ll Need
  • 4+ years full-cycle recruiting experience in a startup environment, ideally within healthtech or similar regulated high-growth environments
  • Demonstrated success recruiting for clinical roles such as Advanced Practice Providers, RNs , behavioral health professionals, case managers/community health workers, or  similar  patient-facing healthcare positions as well as non-clinical roles, including Operations, Sales/Partnerships, Finance, Marketing, or other G&A functions
  • Experience managing a large requisition load while maintaining strong candidate experience and hiring manager partnership
  • Proven ability to independently source, attract, assess, and close candidates in competitive talent markets
  • Experience partnering closely with hiring managers to define hiring needs, build interview processes, and drive hiring decisions
  • Familiarity with Greenhouse or other modern ATS platforms and sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox, or similar
  • Strong understanding and comfortability reporting on recruiting metrics, pipeline management, and operational excellence
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
  • Ownership mindset – own driving results for the mission, business, and candidate experience
  • Strong desire to work in an early stage startup environment that is fast paced, complex, and has minimal barriers to make decisions (no “red tape”)
  • Passion for helping individuals experiencing complex chronic needs such as homelessness, severe mental illness, and substance use disorder

Bonus points for the following:
- Knowledge and/or working experience within Medicaid, Medicare, health plans, provider groups, value-based care, care management, home health, or digital health
- Experience supporting distributed or multi-state hiring

Our Values
  • Lead with integrity: We keep our commitments and take responsibility for our actions. We are dependable and choose authenticity over perfection.
  • Embrace challenges: We leave our egos at the door and step forward into discomfort instead of back into safety. We help each other to learn and provide feedback using candor and kindness.
  • Break through walls: We go the extra mile for our patients, partners and one another, and we run toward hard things. We are resilient in our push for consistent improvement and challenge the status quo.
  • Act beyond yourself: We build each other up and respect boundaries. We seek first to understand and assume positive intent.
  • Care comes first: We hold ourselves to the highest standards for our patients. We are relentless in the pursuit of our mission, and ensure that we are taking care of ourselves in order to care for others.

Because We Value You

  • Competitive salary:  $115,000- $125,000
  • Equity compensation package
  • Flexible vacation policy – take the time you need to recharge
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k)
  • 100% company-sponsored short and long-term disability and life insurance
  • Subsidized backup childcare and caregiver supports through Wellthy
  • Work entirely from the comfort of your own home
  • Monthly $100 work from home expense stipend
  • We provide the equipment needed for the role
  • Opportunity for rapid career progression with plenty of room for personal growth!
