As a Senior Revenue Accountant at Strata, you will be a critical member of our Finance team, contributing to the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our financial operations. Reporting to the Accounting Senior Manager, you’ll leverage your expertise in GAAP accounting to prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, generate financial reports, and support core revenue operations. You’ll play a key role in maintaining compliance, supporting internal stakeholders, and contributing to process improvement across the organization. In this role, you will:

  • Record journal entries and perform general ledger reconciliations, primarily focused on balance sheet accounts such as accounts receivable, contract assets (commissions) and deferred revenue.
  • Gather information and create schedules related to internal and external commissions to support payment calculations and contract asset entries.
  • Assist with month-end close, including preparation and maintenance of recurring journal entries, and distribution of financial statements.
  • Analyze financial statements and reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.
  • Prepare financial reports and schedules to support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain financial systems including NetSuite, Concur, and Salesforce, ensuring data integrity and accurate reporting.
  • Partner with the Sales team on contract and subscription billing to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with company policy and accounting standards.
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis to assess Strata’s financial health and recommend process improvements.
  • Compile and organize documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting-related inquiries and support business initiatives.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects and strategic finance initiatives as assigned.
  • Review and finalize Salesforce opportunities in line with customer contracts to ensure accurate sales orders generation in the accounting system.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in public accounting or a corporate accounting environment with a strong foundation in GAAP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, array formulas).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and NetSuite is preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, reporting, and data interpretation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Enthusiastic learner with a proactive approach to taking on new challenges.
