We have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager, Data Centers to join our Texas team. You will be responsible for driving growth of Pentair solutions in data center applications through channel-based go-to-market strategies, technical solution selling, and new market development. This role blends deep engineering expertise with commercial acumen to influence specifying engineering firms, distributors, integrators, and strategic partners while identifying and developing new ventures and emerging applications where Pentair can differentiate. This position will have the opportunity to take a new approach to how we influence and sell in this emerging market.

You will:

  • Develop and execute a channel-focused sales strategy for data center and digital infrastructure applications.
  • Serve as a technical sales consultant for distributors, engineers, and integrators.
  • Identify and penetrate key markets and ventures for Pentair solutions.
  • Provide pre-sales engineering support including solution design and application guidance.
  • Train and enable channel partners on Pentair’s technologies.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, R&D, Marketing, and Business Development.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends and competitive offers.

Key Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related).
  • 5+ years of experience selling through channel distribution models or equivalent experience selling to end-users in the data center market.
  • Proven ability to engage and sell technical solutions and services to channel partners and engineering clients.
  • Experience with data center infrastructure, cooling, or thermal management.
  • Experience in new market or adjacent market development.
  • Ability to travel 50-75% of the time.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated TTC range will be from $137300- $254900 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus and/or sales incentive.
