We are seeking a full-time, SEO expert and strategist to support ongoing SEO optimization and maintenance across several client brands. The Senior SEO Strategist will act as the sole and beginning of our SEO team, working alongside content strategy practice to deliver SEO informed strategic deliverables. You will be the primary SEO executor, responsible for managing and implementing best-in-class SEO strategies with a strong focus on technical SEO, agile implementation, and continuous optimization.

In addition to general SEO, experience with retailer search algorithms across retailers like Amazon and Walmart is preferred. The Senior SEO Strategist should have a pulse on how AI is transforming the search landscape, especially as it relates to the evolution from SEO to GEO, and be prepared to share trends and implications.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct ongoing SEO audits and implement technical SEO fixes across multiple client websites (real-time, agile iterations rather than waterfall planning)
  • Maintain and optimize schema markup and structured data (including schema graphs)
  • Support and manage SEO integrations with platforms such as Yext and Google My Business
  • Collaborate with development and content teams to implement SEO improvements in platforms like Contentful
  • Perform keyword research, semantic strategy development, and “quick win” optimization for multiple client brands
  • Provide SEO recommendations for organic search improvements across the retail landscape
  • Have a perspective on how AI is going to transform the SEO landscape - and be able to incorporate AI-based recommendations into deliverables
  • Monitor and resolve SEO audit issues and track performance
  • Stay current with the latest SEO trends, tools, and algorithm updates
  • Provide insights, reports, and recommendations to improve organic visibility and performance

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technical SEO and content optimization
  • Proven experience with schema, structured data, and SEO platforms (e.g., Yext, Google Search Console)
  • Familiarity with Contentful or other headless CMS platforms
  • Strong experience with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, etc.)
  • Comfortable working independently with light oversight
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex SEO concepts into actionable insights
