What We Need 

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build and enhance the software that powers our operations, streamlines workflows, and delivers a seamless experience for our patients, vendors, and prescribers. You’ll work on a team dedicated to building AI-powered software solutions that significantly scale our organization's capabilities.

What You Will Do 

• Design, develop, and refine prompts to effectively guide AI models in extracting structured data from unstructured documents. 
• Research, propose and implement innovative approaches to enhance accuracy, speed, and scalability.  
• Apply a product-focused mindset to drive meaningful impact. 
• Tackle ambiguous challenges, devise effective solutions, and break down work for yourself and others to ensure high-quality delivery. 
• Champion and practice AI-assisted coding techniques to enhance development efficiency. 
• Build automation tools to reduce developer toil, boost velocity, and maintain software quality. 
• Mentor fellow engineers, share knowledge, and advocate for new technologies and best practices. 

What You Have 

 At Synapse Health we’ve intentionally built a culture of kindness, collaboration, and creativity, and we consider those qualities to be table stakes for any new team member. Additional requirements include: 

• Bachelor’s degree with a major in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or other related majors, or equivalent experience.   
• 5+ years of experience with Python development 
• Previous experience with guiding AI models or AI-assisted coding
• Familiarity with C# or similar programming languages  
• Knowledge of Medical Systems (EMRs, Insurance Payments, etc.) a plus.  
• Experience with database schema modeling
