The Engineering team builds the software powering Veriff. We're cracking the online identity crisis in a scalable way, deploying excellence to keep Veriff on the cusp of innovation. It's a fast-paced market with many challenges.
We're on the lookout for talent to join our Customer Portal team as a Senior Software Engineer. The Customer Portal team builds and maintains our comprehensive self-serve platform, used by thousands of SaaS and Enterprise customers. This crucial product allows customers to procure, manage, and control their identity verification services in their daily operations. This team is at the forefront of the customer experience, responsible for managing the entire SaaS customer lifecycle—from initial purchase to setup—while also empowering our Enterprise clients to effectively manage their products at Veriff.

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer who can bring together a strong product-thinking mindset with engineering expertise. As part of this team, you'll work closely with stakeholders to enable the best experience for our customers. In this role, we're not just looking for an engineer; we're seeking an individual with exceptional vision ready to lead the team to new levels and tackle challenges head-on. Join us on this exciting adventure!
You’ll help us protect honest people online by:

  • Architecting a Multi-Product Engine: Shift from a single-product tool to a self-serve platform for 10+ services, building the billing and configuration logic that allows any customer to go live without manual intervention.
  • Balancing Enterprise & Scale: You’ll solve the tension between bespoke "whale" account requirements and a high-volume self-serve funnel, designing abstractions that satisfy complex SLAs without sacrificing platform speed.
  • Modernizing while Shipping: You will strategically rebuild 6-year-old legacy systems—specifically our high-traffic session list and decision profiles—ensuring our core infrastructure stays as modern as the new features we ship.
  • Engineering Cross-Team Alignment: As the entry point for Identity, Fraud, and Trust teams, you’ll coordinate how their products live in the portal, ensuring architectural consistency and code quality across the entire portfolio.
  • Amplifying Delivery with AI: You’ll help the team scale beyond its headcount by championing AI-enhanced workflows, turning "big ambitions" into reality through smarter automation and iterative, independent delivery.

You are the right future Veriffian for the job if you have:

  • 5+ years building web applications, with real depth in TypeScript (our primary stack is TypeScript, React, Node)Over 5 years of experience building large-scale applications;
  • You have owned something end-to-end: a product area, a service, a migration. Not just contributed to it.Long-term experience using TypeScript or Python, and readiness to learn about each;
  • You are comfortable working in legacy code without burning it all down. You know how to modernize incrementally while keeping things running.Ownership experience of a specific component, feature, or system;
  • You can hold your own in product conversations. This team sits at the intersection of billing, configuration, and customer lifecycle. You will need to understand the business problem, not just the ticket;
  • You are curious about AI-assisted development workflows. We are pushing hard on using AI to multiply what a small team can deliver. You don't need to be an expert, but you should be genuinely interested.A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field;
  • You have worked in a team where you had to coordinate across other teams’ domains, and you didn't just throw things over the wall.The ability to inspire team growth through introducing new standards and to drive change;

If you're passionate about coding, problem-solving, and contributing to Veriff's mission, we want to hear from you! Be part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
