The Senior Solution Architect at Granicus is a pivotal technical leader within the Solution Consulting track, entrusted with driving architecture and solution strategy for the most complex and impactful public sector engagements. In this role, you combine deep technical expertise with strategic acumen, guiding cross-functional teams and customers through multifaceted discovery, design, and delivery phases.

Your work directly influences the success of government modernization efforts by delivering secure, scalable, and compliant solutions that balance innovation with pragmatic execution. You serve as a trusted advisor to sales leadership, product managers, engineering teams, and government stakeholders—ensuring alignment of technical strategies with mission outcomes.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in solution architecture, technical leadership, or presales consulting, ideally within SaaS or government technology sectors
  • Demonstrated ability to lead architecture for complex, multi-stakeholder deals involving cloud, security, integrations, and compliance
  • Exceptional skills in translating complex technical concepts into accessible narratives for both technical and executive audiences
  • Proven cross-functional collaboration experience with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success teams
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills with a track record of developing junior technical talent
  • Deep understanding of government procurement, regulatory environments, and mission-critical technology challenges preferred
  • Alignment with Granicus’s values of innovation, integrity, collaboration, and public service

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical discovery and architecture design for large, complex public sector opportunities
  • Develop and document scalable, secure, and compliant solution architectures that align with customer goals and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Services teams to validate designs and ensure technical feasibility
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to junior architects and presales engineers, fostering professional growth and architectural excellence
  • Influence product roadmap and go-to-market strategies by sharing field insights and technical feedback
  • Drive continuous improvement in architecture standards, tools, and enablement materials
  • Represent Granicus in technical workshops, industry events, and customer executive briefings

  • Consistently delivers high-quality, innovative, and compliant architectures that meet or exceed customer expectations with minimal rework
  • Recognized as a strategic partner by sales, product, and delivery leadership for technical insight and leadership
  • Produces reusable architectural frameworks and documentation that enhance team efficiency and solution quality
  • Proactively identifies and mitigates technical risks across sales and implementation cycles
  • Demonstrates leadership in mentoring and team enablement activities that strengthen organizational capability
